About Sebrina Leigh-Jones

My husband and I moved to Charleston from England in 2010. We chose Charleston because of its European feel and the incredibly friendly people.

Sebrina Leigh-Jones purchased this house in 2012
Why Sebrina Leigh-Jones chose Charleston

My husband and I have a love of restoring historical properties from a 400 year old french cottage, to a 1760s Harbour Master's home on the English Channel, early 19th century Vicarage and Arms houses in a seaside community of north Wales, to name a few. This house fit perfectly in our inventory of historic properties. We feel in love with its charm and location.

What makes this house unique

This house is full of old southern charm with modern conveniences. You will be hard pressed to find a better location to enjoy the Historic district of Charleston. You can easily walk to the best restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions.

Superb stay in a simply stunning Charleston property

5 of 5
Submitted: March 21, 2013 Stayed: February 2013
We stayed (two of us) on business in this incredible property in East Bay, Charleston in late Feb, early March this year and can only describe our experience as unforgettable.

One of the most stunning features (and there are many) is the beautiful porch, sun-filled in the mornings and overlooking the gentle skyline of Charleston. A beautiful place to sit both in the morning and also late at night taking in the atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Location wise, it's perfectly placed, close to Market Street, Broad and Kings - with many shops, restaurants and amenities. It was also reasonably simple to access the surrounding areas of John's Island and other locations nearby. The double driveway was very useful.

Inside the house the kitchen is simply, yet beautifully equipped with lots of lovely little touches. A practical and spacious utility area with washer and dryer came in handy for the more practical elements of our visit!

I was lucky enough to occupy the master bedroom, simply gorgeous with a comfy bed, lovely furnishings, a spacious bathroom and best of all - an amazing dressing room - a dream for all ladies!

Other rooms were also well equipped with plenty of space.

The dining room and living room both were comfortable and classy living spaces in which to entertain our visiting guests.

Overall, this was just an incredible stay, the owners have clearly gone the extra mile to make this property special and I would recommend this to anyone I knew.

Thank you so much!

Impeccable Property! Immaculate, tasteful and artistic

This vacation home by far exceeded all expectations. It was immaculately decorated and fully appointed with anything and everything needed to enjoy our stay. The owner, Sabrina, met us upon arrival and was incredibly welcoming and knowledgable about Charleston. We could walk to everything as the location was directly downtown. There was a supermarket right across the street. We loved the porches in the afternoon, the claw foot tub in the master bath and just how elegantly simple and tasteful everything in the home was.

In short, this property has everything a discerning traveler could want. Can't speak highly enough of our experience!

Without Compromise

Submitted: February 28, 2013 Stayed: February 2013
I have been visiting Charleston since before Hugo, and Bridge House was by far the best place I ever stayed. To begin, the location is fantastic. In addition to being short walk to the Battery, Waterfront Park and best restaurants, bars, shopping and tourist attractions, it is across the street from Harris Teeter, the Peninsula’s only grocery store. This may not seem like much, but if you are cooking meals for family and friends while on vacation, you are sure to forget something, and having a grocery store across the street is a big plus. As much as I love downtown, traffic and parking on the Peninsula are things to avoid at all costs. A liquor store and pharmacy are also on the same block.
In addition, with the East Side location getting up to 17 and out to West Ashley or Mount Pleasant could not get any easier.
Bridge House also stood out, because the owners cut no corners. Most vacation rentals are rentals and the owners stock the home with beds, linens, and kitchen utensils etc that have seen better days. Bridge House is not only new top to bottom, but everything in it is top of the line. The beds are as comfortable as you will find anywhere, including your own home. The kitchen spares no expense. The appliances are the ones you wanted to buy, but could not bring yourself to pay for, and all the utensils are new, sharp and in perfect working. The knives were as sharp as any I have ever used, and I cook 21 meals/week. Over the weekend, I prepared a half dozen meals including two elaborate dinners and the kitchen was extremely well laid out and wanted for nothing. My travel companion had to tear me out of the place.
In short, the place was a pleasure to stay in and provided everything you could want for a great visit to the Holy City. We were looking forward to going back before we even left.
