The five bedroom option has a King bed in master bedroom with attached bathroom,

Two bedrooms with queen beds, One bedroom with two twin beds and one bedroom with a single twin bed and queen sleeper in living room. Maximum 11 people.

The two bedroom option has a King bed in master bedroom with attached bathroom,

two twins in second bedroom and queen sleeper in living room. Maximum six people.

Fully furnished kitchen with Wolf appliances and beautiful Brazilian river rock granite counter tops. All linens provided.

Satellite TV and WIFI access. Great people watching from our outside second story private deck with gas BBQ and our 50 foot wide ocean front patio downstairs which is shared with a downstairs one bedroom apartment.

Tandem outside parking for two cars, trucks or SUV's you won't have a parking problem here

Ocean Front! steps from the sand. We think South Mission beach is San Diego's finest. We are located away from large parking areas so the beach in front of our house is very quiet. Pretty much the only people on the beach are those who live or are renting in a few square block area.

What makes this house unique

Ocean Front! Awesome views from the living and dining rooms. It's an ever changing picture. The outside second story deck area is perfect for people watching and BBQ's. We love to skate and bike ride on the boardwalk which runs along the ocean and also extends around Mission Bay. Literally five minutes away from Sea World and fifteen minutes away form the San Diego Zoo. Awesome views from sun up to sunset.

NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED/LANDLORD WATCHDOG/NEVER AGAIN

Our stay was from the 5th of July for 7 days and at 1st look we thought this was going to be a place to continue coming back too. Not the case now after our experience there. Yes, you are on the beach and the view is great, but for the money you spend it should be. We stayed in the large unit upstairs, 4 responsible adults. There are two bedrooms , 1 with a king and 1 with 2 double beds..So if you going as couples, forget about it, the 2nd bedroom is small, you have to re-arrange the room and tie the beds together. The large bedroom has it's own bathroom, but outdated and nasty. The kitchen was fine, and the living room was fine. The den with the TV which we used once, again outdated and the TV works for crap. The entire area where you spend the most time is filled with family photos galore so you feel like your visiting you Aunt or Uncle, no beach warmth to this place.

The noise is terrible, and not just from the jets flying by from the airport, the landlord is up every morning outside by 6am knocking around garbage in your alley way. Someone there, and I think it was the landlord, has a nose problem, every morning that loud annoying honker noise over and over, just terrible. Dishes and utensils were outdated old and some rusty. And who needs a piano in the living, just took up space.

Our biggest complaint is the fact that this landlord is around all the time. He lives there, right next door and watches everything you do and you feel like he's always there. His family and guest was using the beach chairs that were supposedly for us. This was not a relaxing experience for us at all.

To top it off, when it came to getting our deposit back, remember those photos I talked about? We'll supposedly, we got a photo wet in between the glass and the photo. Which one, I don't know, I don't care. We did not go picking up his photos or touching those photos in anyway, but supposedly we did and he tried to hold our deposit.

No inventory or walk through was done, which I suggest you do. And now he comes up with this crazy plan to hold our deposit. We'll we wrote letters and did get our attorney involved because we were not going to give in to this type of rental behavior. We did finally get a deposit back, less $50.00 for whatever and decided to leave it at that.

We are responsible adults that travel extensively and make sure to take care of things properly. Look at other places, for this kind of money, we felt ripped. LANDLORD OVERKILL.

Owner's Response: The guests we’re perfectly happy the day they left and inquired that day whether they could return next year. Their displeasure only appeared when I found it necessary to place a small charge against their security deposit. Unfortunately they did damage two pictures and for the first time in twenty-two years of handling my vacation rental properties, I felt it necessary to place a charge against their deposit. I only charged them half of amount to make the repairs because I was slow in getting the repairs completed. Our listing is perfectly clear that there are two twin beds in the second bedroom so they knew in advance the sleeping conditions. The piano is in plain view on the listing so they knew in advance that it was there. Most guests are thrilled with it. No attorney was ever involved. There are occasional planes that fly over South Mission and have been for years. These guests said they have stayed in South Mission for many years so I sure they were aware of that fact in advance as well. Our actually our building built in the 50’s with sturdy construction and new windows is probably one of the quieter buildings in the area. I do put the trash cans out early every Tuesday morning for trash pickup. I put them out in the morning instead of at night so that transients do not make a mess and create a fly problem in the area. Again the day these guests left they couldn't wait to return next summer.

Amazing!! Perfect location!

My family stayed at the 2 bedroom condo on the second story for 7 glorious days. In my honest opinion, the photos do not show how great this property is! The kitchen is fantastic and has more than enough applianes, tupperware, and space to accomodate. We had family members that were staying at another condo that we had over for a few meals and there was more than enough space for everyone to sit and enjoy one another's company. The rooms were great, I'm not sure what the pull-out couch was like as we never had to use it, but we were all comfortable. We only wished that we had more air able to circulate through without opening the doors to flies. So, other than it being a little hot at night, our stay was awesome!! (BTW, we stayed in August, which is the hottest time of year anyway)

The owners are incredibly wonderful people and treated us so graciously. We had three young kids with us and they were so great with them - engaging with questions and never made them feel like they were a nuisance.

Another great thing about the property is that you are front and center with a great part of the beach. You can walk right across the boardwalk and onto the beach for swimming and paddle boarding (which they had for us to use :)) and also, off to the right hand side of the property are about four or five volleyball areas, which was great because it was so close, but no one was every playing right in front of the property.

Another great addition for kids is there is a gate at the top of the stairs that locks if you choose. They had so many different games, movies, books, etc. for downtime as well.

This property is also a short walking distance to Belmont Park, which is great for entertainment for kids, shopping, and great ice cream :), but it isn't so close that you are near heavy commotion. There are a few bars down the block that had great happy hours and karoake, and there is a market a block away as well for getting any items in a pinch.

All in all, we had a great time, and were so incredibly pleased we choose this condo for our getaway, it made our vacation that much more enjoyable. Thank you for the memories!! Not sure when we'll be back, but we know where we'll be staying! :)
