3 bedroom cottage sleeps 7, adjacent to golf, beach and outdoor activities

Set in a quiet corner of the gated village of St. Helens the cottage has a very comfortable open plan living area and kitchen. The living room area has an open fire making it very cosy in Wintertime. The living area opens into the large sunny garden through patio doors. The garden to the side of the cottage is West facing and catches the warm evening sun making it perfect for outdoor dining in Summertime. There is a large double bedroom with wc shower en-suite, a second bedroom with double bed and a third bedroom with bunk beds having a double bed on the lower bunk and a single bed on top. The house is fully fitted with everything that you might find in your own home including t.v., dvd, ipod docking station, books, board games, children' buckets and spades, deck chairs, beach rugs and picnic gear.

The cottage is adjacent to the St. Helen's 27 hole championship golf course and driving range. There is on-site tennis courts and basket ball courts, football pitch and playground for children. The edge of the complex is bounded on one side by a horseshoe shaped sandy beach which is 7 minutes walk from the cottage. The entire area is surrounded by a host of long sandy beaches providing stunning beach walks for miles along the coast. The area lends itself to easy rambling or cycling through country roads. Horseriding is available nearby. On site you can avail of the bar and restaurant facilities at the Golf Club and there are plenty of very good restaurants and pubs locally offering good food and entertainment. Within 15 minutes drive you will find cinemas, bowling, theatre, spas and leisure centres, shopping, art centres and galleries and the famous wild life reserve at the Wexford Slobs.

Notes

  • Rental rates include cleaning of cottage at end of your stay.

    Fresh linen and towels are provided on your arrival. If you wish to have a change of bed linen or cleaning service during your stay this must be booked in advance and there will be an additional charge and rates are available on application. Beach towels are not included and you should bring your own.

    Rental rates include electricity except during the period of 6th November to 9th April when there is an additional charge of €25 per week for electricity.

    Rates for duration of 3 week stay or longer available on request.

    Week-end rates and off season long stay rates are available on request.
  • Conditions

    25% of rental fee to be paid as a non-refundable deposit at time of booking. Balance of rental fee is payable 4 weeks in advance of arrival. If booking is made within 4 weeks of arrival full rental fee is payable at time of booking.

    All rental fees are payable by electronic bank transfer. On receipt of full rental fees Keys will be posted to your home address or alternative arrangements made directly with you for keys on arrival and full details of the property will be e-mailed to you separately.

Great holiday in Wexford!

My husband, I and our two children (ages 9 and 2) had a wonderful time in St Helen's Bay, Wexford. We were delighted with our accommodation. It was clean, bright, had everything we needed (even games, books, dvds and videos!). Everything was provided for us and it really was like a home from home. This contributed to a totally stress free holiday! It is a very quiet area which was perfect for us and it was very well maintained. The owner had sent a terrific manual prior to our stay, with all details required and wonderful directions to the house and various places of interest in the area. The house is in a great location. We were very close to the beautiful beach (one of many). I would definately go back and would highly recommend this house and area for all ages.

Wonderful base for exploring South East Ireland

We stayed at the cottage for a week and it was a great base for exploring South East Ireland. It is conveniently located just off N25 which leads to main points in the south east. Wexford is a short drive as are many of a small villages (like Kilmore Quay where you can get the best fish and chips at the Saltees Chipper!). There is also a bus stop right on N25 outside the church, which is only about 15 min walk from the cottage. The beach is also about 15 min walk and it is a great spot for hanging out. Overall, the cottage was just what we expected as the description is very much spot on. Miriam also provided great pointers on area attractions as well as a document on how things work around the house. We would stay there again.
