Relax on a ranch with majestic views of the Cascade Mountains, ideally located just 10 miles from downtown Bend, on the Twin Bridges leg of the Oregon Scenic Bikeways, in a farm and ranch community of Tumalo.
Bright Mountain Ranch is rustic on the outside and clean and cozy on the inside. Wake up to mountain views of the Sisters, Broken Top and Mount Bachelor. From April to September dip your toes in the pond which is fed from those snow-capped mountains. Ride your horse just a mile up the road to public land and the Tumalo Reservoir basin.
Bright Mountain Ranch boasts the sights and sounds of horses in the pastures and corrals, Red-Tail Hawks and Swainson's Hawks swooning the skies above, Great Horned Owls serenading you from the surrounding trees, and wild Mallards and Canada Geese dipping into the pond.
And the stars...lots of stars.
Bright Mountain Ranch is a fully furnished 3 bedroom 2 bath home suitable for up to 6 guests.
The master suite invites you to rest in a comfortable king bed. A queen bed sleeps two in the 2nd bedroom and there are two twin beds in the 3rd bedroom. All beds are made with freshly laundered quality linens and extra pillows. We take extra care to insure your bed is fresh and clean, changing and laundering all linens, mattress pads, and pillow protectors after each stay.
The bathrooms offer soft towels, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries.
Table linens and seating for 6 adorn the country dining room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances, cookware, flatware, dinnerware and glassware, and complimentary coffee and tea.
Enjoy watching movies from the growing DVD collection on the big screen television. Warm-up in front of the pellet stove. Read a book in the sunny living room glancing out at the mountains. Be still with the quiet that surrounds you.
There is a paddock available for 2 of your horses too!
At Bright Mountain Ranch, no two days are the same.
Our location between Bend and Sisters (a short 15 minute drive to either) provides and excellent jumping off point for activities in all of central Oregon.
The Micro Climate: This property is protected from harsh weather by three volcanic peaks of the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the Cascade Range in Oregon called the Three Sisters, each of which exceeds 10,000 ft (3,048 m) in elevation. While we do get some rain and snow, it is not unusual that you can sit on the front porch and watch the rain pass by just a few miles away.
If your passions include skiing, golf, fishing, river drifting or simply stargazing, Tumalo is a sunny destination year round. Awaken your spirit of adventure or relax in contemplation. This crossroad along the Deschutes River has been a destination for travelers and adventurers for 100 years.
