Langford Hall is a very comfortable large country house set in 83 acres of its own grounds.
A neo-classical Georgian house built by John Carr of York c1774 which sits on the edge of the historic market town of Newark on Trent with great access to London Kings Cross and many local attractions.
Fully equipped with everything you would expect in a modern family house. This location would be an ideal venue for people wanting a grand venue or people who are travelling in larger groups.
Originally Langford Hall was built for Slingsby Duncombe who owned all the land in Langford. A memorial tablet to Slingsby Duncombe, who also lived in Bryanston Square London, is in Langford Church.
In 1832 the estate was sold to Lord Middleton. The Middleton family owned Langford until 1925 when the estate was sold to Trinity College, Cambridge.
During this period 1832-1939 the house was let and there were a number of tenants over the years. In 1939 at the outbreak of the war the house was requisitioned by the military after which it was a school and then converted back to a family home in 1970 and has been subject to a recent refurbishment.
A magnificent property set up for family or friends, located in easy reach of many things to do.
