Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I wanted an easy getaway to get out of the city and enjoy nature and we were not disappointed. The studio was close enough to Flagstaff that everything was accessible and also far enough away to feel private and away from the hustle and bustle. We wanted trails for hiking and biking and the trails right behind the house were perfect for beautiful hikes and single tracks. The studio was clean, well furnished, and felt like a home away from home with privacy as compared to a hotel. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

great studio rental!

  • 5 of 5

We chose this rental based on other reviews. No regrets with our choice! The studio was clean, everything was in order. I did find a lot of dog hair on the animal print throw on the sofa though. Other than that, no complaints. Also loved the backyard that leads to some kind of forest trail. My husband and stepson would take our dogs out there, leash free everyday and the owner's dog, Genny, would usually tag along. David, deb's husband, was also very helpful and accommodating. He even let my stepson draw at his studio that was located in the property as well. Will be sure to come back here when we return to Arizona. Thank you guys!

Great Thanksgiving getaway in Northern AZ

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay here over Thanksgiving holiday and exploring some absolutely beautiful sites in Northern AZ. My wife, dog, and I were most comfortable in this rental and the set up was great. Easy access to the room (an L-shaped studio on the ground floor), which is private. A trails leaves right from behind the home into beautiful forest that we enjoyed wandering through with the pup. As secluded as it is there happens to be a nice tavern and market within a short walk - came in very handy when we arrived hungry and later than we'd hope.

Only negative I can think of is that it was generally cold in the room during the day (believe this was a temporary problem).

That said, Deb and Dave were welcoming, friendly hosts and I would love to stay here again if we have the chance.

No more hotels...

  • 5 of 5

This is not our first VRBO, and my husband and I would definitely say we were not disappointed. It was close enough to all the things we needed and wanted to do but not in busy downtown. The owners gave us good ideas for things to do in the area. Even though the place is right below the owner's house it felt like we were there by ourselves. We would definitely go back. Our only thought for improvement would be the stove top. We probably used it more than others have but it seemed to take a lot longer than normal to even get water to boil. Overall...it was a great place and we would come back again.

relaxing

What a beautiful property. The owners are in the main house and are such a delight. Their dog, Genevieve was just the cutest bundle of happiness. For the first time in many years our dog played like a puppy with Genevieve. The studio is well equipped and very cool (temperature). The property is far enough off the road to avoid the sounds of traffic. Immediately across from the property is a winery. The melt and z in were good. Just down the street (walking distance) is a country market and tavern. In the market you'll be greeted by a couple of very friendly dogs. The tavern is okay, nothing too spectacular. The trails behind the property are to die for. It would be really hard to get lost up there. I ran a few trails and my husband and dog walked them. It had rained much of the weekend so the forrest was perfect...very little mud, just wet enough to bring out the fresh scents. All in all a great weekend.
