Short walk to beach-2bd/2ba and 2bd/1ba homes available
I have 2 Carlsbad beach homes available to rent. The other listing is 235308 which has summer dates still available. They are about 200-300 yards from the beach. It is just a bit over a mile to walk along the beach to the Carlsbad Village where they have many bars, restaurants and surf shops.
There are two homes on one property. The first home is a two bedroom and two bath unit. It has a great living area with a big brick fireplace(the real kind), a big bath tub and a shower in both bathrooms, large rooms and a full kitchen with the utensils needed to make it just like staying in your own home. There is king bed in the master bedroom and at bunk bed with a full and a twin in the other bedroom. There is a large couch to sleep on as well. It could sleep 6 comfortably.
Both homes have internet throughout, cable tv(including HBO, Cinemax and Showtime), a washer and dryer, linens and an outside shower. There is space for about 4 cars in front of the house.
Since there are two homes on the one lot, there is a common area. It has an outside fire pit with seating, a cement patio set and a separate little shack to sleep in. We call it the surf shack and it is just a room(no plumbing) to sleep in. I rent it for $100 per week as an add on for either unit. The common area is for both units to enjoy so please be courteous to respect the privacy of the other unit. This is not a party property. if you plan to have parties, please go the next property.
Both homes are true beach homes with hardwood floors, an outside shower, beach towels and other beach things. It is VERY dog and kid friendly.
The home is a short walk to the beach. Its a few hundred yards. I went there every day in the summer when I lived there.
Carlsbad is great beach town. It is beautiful and quiet. The weather is spectacular in the summer. Carlsbad Village is a little over a mile from the home. Legoland is few miles away. The San Diego Wild Animal Park is about 20 minutes away in Escondido. Downtown San Diego is about 30 miles away. San Diego has Seaworld, the world famous San Diego Zoo, Petco Park(home of the Padres), Torrey Pines Golf Course and all of the great restaurants and bars downtown has to offer. The home is next to the train tracks. There are two types of trains. The first is the San Diego Coaster. It runs 10 times or so during the day. It is a commuter train and goes by in 2 seconds. It is not loud at all unless the north bound blows the horn right when its going by the house. It only runs during the day. The second are the freight trains. They are long and heavy. They are not loud, but are heavy. They come by two times or so per day. Sometimes they come by in the middle of the night, but that is rare. I lived in both houses for five years and they rarely disrupted my sleep, but I want to make all residents aware because if you are an extremely light sleeper or sleep during the day, it may be a problem for you.
