This beautiful home is situated on a deep water canal at the southern tip of Pine Island . The main living area is 1800 square feet on pilings, above a large deck area that connects the pool, deep-water dock and downstairs area. The property has ample parking, with two spaces under the building and space for four more cars on the white-shell drive. Upstairs are three bedrooms; one master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, one large bedroom with en-suited bathroom access and one stand-alone bedroom. On the ground floor there is an apartment complete with lounge area and bathroom. The kitchen, lounge and dining area upstairs share one large area which opens onto the full-width porch, overlooking the pool, dock and canal. The living area has twelve-foot cathedral ceilings finished in spruce and has maple hard-wood floors throughout. All of the cabinetry is solid maple with Corian tops on the breakfast bar, counter-tops and desk. The kitchen has ample storage and is equipped with a side-by-side fridge-freezer complete with filtered water and ice-maker. The breakfast-bar has a built-in oven and high-power cook-top. All the upper cabinets have hidden dimmed lights beneath them. The kitchen also has an extra-large sink, in-sink garbage disposal and dishwasher. The seats around the breakfast bar and the couch face east, allowing for views of the water through the expansive windows and glass French doors. Throughout the house the single-hung windows and exterior doors are PGT impact glass. As is the triangular window in the peak of the east facing wall, through which the morning light bathes the wooden ceilings and inner walls. The design of the building and roof eaves means that once dawn is passed, almost no direct sun enters the house, until the sunset pours in through the windows in the west-facing bedrooms. This keeps the house cool without Air-conditioning in all but the hottest months. The house is fitted with modern quiet A/C with air feeds and extraction in every room. The bedrooms all come with built-in closets, stainless steel fans and single-hung windows, and share the maple hardwood floors with the rest of the building. Both bathrooms upstairs have maple cabinets, safety-glass enclosed showers with tiled walls and shower bases. Both also have opening windows, large wall mirrors and stainless lighting, faucets and fittings. Stainless steel fittings are used throughout the building, both for fans, lamps, installed lighting, hinges and handles. The central French doors in the East wall open onto a large porch overlooking the pool. The porch is equipped with faucet, electrical outlets, twin fans and three spotlights. The deck is finished with composite wood/synthetic boards (no splinters in bare feet) and is surrounded with white aluminum fencing. The south side of the porch wraps around the building and connects to the main entrance stairs, also decked with composite wood.
