4 BR / 2.5 BA home with pool, casual indoor/outdoor living, 3 min walk to Beach.

Casual indoor/outdoor living less than one block from world renowned Kailua Beach on Oahu. Four bedrooms -- two opening onto lanai and pool area -- 2 1/2 baths, open beautiful Great Room and Kitchen, large lanai perfect for morning coffee and evening meals, outdoor dining under a huge avocado tree (which fruits prodigiously in season!), and library/ loft space upstairs. Bedrooms configured as follows: King, queen, full, and one twin.

Home is fully equipped with all linens, towels, complete modern kitchen with most high-end cooking needs, boogie boards and beach chairs, and even a few pool toys. Cable TV, wifi, and Bose sound system as well.

Kailua is a sleepy beach town on the windward side of Oahu. Our three mile beach is consistently voted one of the most beautiful in the world, with sugary white sand, warm waters, easy waves, and known for long gorgeous walks in the surf. Also known as one of the most famous kitesurfing beaches in the world. Great shops, restaurants, hikes, golfing, paddling, and bike rides all within a few minutes of the house.

Local vendors rent bikes, kayaks, kitesurfing equipment and other beach toys for your visit. Info available in the home. Local bus system quite good, but rental car suggested.

No smoking please!

In accordance with city and county zoning laws, home is only rented once/month.

About Powell Berger

While exploring the world with my kids, we like to share our family home with other adventurers from around the globe. We love traveling, but Kailua will always be home, and Kailua beach will always be our favorite spot on the planet. Hope you love it as much as we do.

Why Powell Berger chose Kailua

We fell in love with Kailua in 2002, and a year later, lived here. It's a family community, where kids ride their bikes to friends' homes, neighbors meet on the beach to visit, and the idyllic views in all directions forever remind us that this is paradise.

What makes this house unique

Paradise Hale is our family home, designed and built by us as a communal gathering place. Our Great Room pulls everyone together for cooking, movies, family fun, while the pool and lanai draw us outside on/off all day long. The bedrooms offer everyone their privacy, while the loft and the game room offer nooks for projects, reading or getting a bit of work done.

Kailua is a sleepy beach town on Oahu's Windward coast, world renowned for its 3 mile sugary white sand beach, gentle surf, and excellent kitesurfing and paddling opportunities. Kailua boasts numerous local boutiques, shops, restaurants and cafes, with few 'big box' retailers in the community. Honolulu is a quick 30 minute drive, to the glitz of Waikiki, award winning restaurants, theatre, and other cultural events. Oahu's famed north shore -- home to iconic surfing spots like Pipeline and Sunset Beach -- is a meandering, beautiful drive just up the coast.

Family Vacation Time

This was a time our family took to spend together in this lovely home in Hawaii. It was exactly as listed and we had our small grandchildren with us who spent quite a lot of the time in their lovely swimming pool, a large amount of time at the beach within walking distance, and we spent the rest of the time together as a family cooking together and having wonderful meals in their lovely dining area. The bedrooms were all well appointed and comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook a fine meal, and the restaurants recommended by the owner that we did use were welcoming and tasty. We had a fabulous family vacation here and would certainly recommend this to any of our friends. In fact, we have even corresponded with the owner about acquiring the property again in the future for another family trip. That in itself is a good recommendation I would think.

I've had the opportunity to stay in this fabulous house on two occasions and have been so happy with my visit both times! For me, an ideal vacation home is easily accessible to a beach and activities, has a great kitchen, and a lot of space for everyone to hang out together. This house has it all-- it is just a block from the beach, has a gorgeous pool, fantastic kitchen and a wonderful open living room making it easy to cook and hang out at the same time. The photos and the description of the house are spot on. I can't wait for the next opportunity to visit Kailua and stay in this charming and perfectly located house! PS- the owners are fantastic and have plenty of suggestions for activities/restaurants/etc.

We spent 3 wonderful weeks in this welcoming Kailua home, naturally cooled and scented by the trade winds. The beach is 5 min away and the familiy spent its time between surfing on Kailua beach, a jewel, and jumping in the pool. The home has a nice blend of being confortable with quality amneties and relaxing. The owners are warm, easygoing and welcoming and you feel at home instantly. Kailua has a number of nice food places and the buzz of Honolulu is just 30 min away. There is challening hiking a few minutes's drive away.
