Perfectly located between Blowing Rock and Boone with all the attractions, shopping, and excellent restaurants, this 3-story home is located right off the Blue Ridge Parkway in the prestigious Greystone Estates.
The main level offers everything you need, as you enter from the front entrance or 2-car garage into the main living area where a beautiful stone fireplace awaits you, along with a spacious sitting area and extensive deck which offers seating, dining, and grilling - listen closely and you may hear the faint, sweet, whistle from Tweetsie Railroad echoing through the valley below. To the left of the entrance, you will be delighted with the modern kitchen and dining room that would make any gourmet cook happy. To the right, you will find a spacious laundry room , ½ bath, and exquisite master suite, complete with a king size bed, walk-in closet, and bath with a shower for two. The mountain view from the master bedroom will take your breath away!
One level down, the second floor provides a more casual living area adjacent to a magnificent bar with its own full-sized refrigerator and bar sink. A second master suite provides plenty of privacy, complete with king size bed, full bath, walk-in closet, and its own beautiful view of the mountain ranges. You’ll also find a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a full bathroom on this level. Last, but not least, is the awesome theatre room, where the 70’ LED/LCD flat screen and comfy tiered seating are the main attractions. Enjoy Wii, X-box, or watch a favorite DVD or TV show. Two queen size sleeper sofas are in the theatre room for additional guests or for those who wish to stay up late watching movies and never want to leave.
The third floor will keep you busy at night or should a rainy day keep you indoors. Enjoy the game room’s professional pool table and poker table, grab a board game, a puzzle, or one of the many books lining the bookcases. You can also jump on the treadmill to get in a little walk or jog if you're unable to hit one of the many local trails nearby.

Why is this house named the 'Flying Pig?' We searched for over 3 years for the perfect mountain home. Certain criteria had to be met & when one thing after another backed us away, we thought we'd never find it. 'When pigs fly we'll get our dream mountain home' we said, over and over again. Finally...the dream came true. You'll love the tasteful flying pigs throughout our home....a reminder that dreams really do come true. Walt spent many hard hours renovating this home to a true ENERGY STAR Specification GREEN home. From the appliances, to HVAC, to spray-foam insulation and sound proofing, you'll be amazed. Our location between Blowing Rock and Boone is perfect! You are just minutes to Moses Cone Park and numerous hiking trails, Tanger Outlets and downtown Blowing Rock, Boone, ASU, antique stores, wonderful restaurants, ski slopes, and all the High Country has to offer....IF you want to leave, that is!
You will see the most beautiful sunsets from the decks -- you don't want to miss them. A different view of God's art work every single day. You'll probably see a deer, rabbit, or wild turkey in the expansive yard as you're enjoying the upper decks.

There is a 12.5% tax for vacation rentals, this amount is $888.89 which is included in your rental fee.
Until confirmed, all rates subject to change without notice.
When contract is signed, 50% 0f rental due and payable with security deposit. Remaining 50% due 30 days prior to moving in.
Security Deposit of $600.00. Tenant shall pay all damage in excess of Security Deposit on demand.
