The Perfect Place for the Family of the Groom!

I cannot say enough positive things about this home! It is a beautifully preserved home in historic, downtown Charleston.
My husband, myself and our two sons needed a place to stay during our son's wedding at Boone Hall Plantation. This 3 bedroom, 21/2 bath home was a perfect and convenient space. The house was impeccable, beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was updated with high end appliances and was well stocked. We really wanted space to prepare for the festivities and have comfortable surroundings to relax. This home filled all those requirements and then some! I would highly recommend it!!

PERFECT location, PERFECT house!

This was a “high school besties” reunion (1 came from all the way from HI and loved it!) after many years, and we couldn’t have been happier at any other place in Charleston! Thank you Ray for opening up this lovely home for all to enjoy! Oct was the perfect time to go, as weather was not too hot or cold….ideal! The Beds were all so comfortable, and we each had our turn in the beautiful claw foot tub to relax and unwind from our hectic schedules….but not long enough that we would miss all the great Charleston restaurants and beautiful historic homes (and I would say 8 Chisolm is one of them). Ray’s home is impeccably decorated and has a chef’s dream kitchen…wine fridge/cooler included. Many sundry items are available, such as laundry detergent, beach towels, and a fairly well stocked kitchen, with any appliance you could need. Great TV if you even think you will have any time to watch it; WIFI! Ray was available and very accommodating for any question we had.

Each morning we enjoyed coffee and breakfast/smoothies (we picked up some wonderful goodies at Bull Street Gourmet & Market) on the great little patio with peaceful fountain running. Loading and unloading was easy, as we were able to pull our car within the gated off-street parking.

Easily from the house, we could take a lovely stroll down beautiful Murray Blvd and Battery Street, and historic Colonial Lake was around the corner. We were only 5-10 min drive to King Street shopping district and Old City Market where we watched the Sweetgrass basket makers (although we got better prices for baskets on Hwy17 in Mt. Pleasant), and got a great downtown Charleston Carriage tour. Only 20-25 min drive to 4 Plantations/Gardens and several beaches. We'll be back!

Beautiful

This home was like walking into an HGTV remodel. It is beautiful! It was very clean, cozy and organized. The location was perfect. You can walk to The Battery or the market area which is about one mile away. A small convenience store is across the street. The owner was extremely nice and if need be easily contacted, even though we did not need to reach him for anything. I would definitely stay here again

Fantastic

I live close by & had booked this house for a group of friends who were visiting. It couldn't have been a more perfect situation. The property is beautiful and meticulously maintained! Everyone had plenty of room and would never have been nearly as comfortable in a hotel. I know the location well and while about one mile from the more touristy area - it is a wonderful part of downtown Charleston & made my visitors feel like they were locals. I strongly recommend this to all who are looking for a really nice house in a great area of Charleston!

Perfect location, great accommodation!

We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful home. The owner was so gracious and accommodating. It's definitely a vintage home (circa 1910!) but remodeled to retain the old world charm while still incorporating all the upscale features you would want for luxury and comfort. Very nicely decorated inside with much thought to tasteful appointments and furnishings that you would expect to see in a high-end accommodation.

Very close to any of the major historical landmarks and a convenient base for all the things we wanted to do. We were very pleased and would definitely recommend it!
