This cozy, well maintained house has just what you are looking for. Endless ocean views, and miles of beautiful beach. Once you are settled in you will not want to leave. Watch the sunrise and the steady parade of dolphins form the 2 decks. Your private walk way to the beach gets you there quickly without fighting the crowds or lugging your beach supplies. The only way to get closer to the ocean is to be on a boat. A large open floor plan upstairs and large windows and doors give you great views from the inside as well.
My wife and I have lived on the Outer Banks for almost 30 years. We love the beach and own several rental properties. Of all our properties, Sails Commission is our favorite and the one we use as our home away from home. You may ask why we need a home away from home while living on the Outer Banks. Once you have spent your vacation at this house you will see why. This house is our refuge from the real world. Although the house is rented most of the time, we love the Outer Banks in the fall and winter. We spend many days wrapped up on the front deck enjoying the view. We may even get lucky and catch a view of an occasional whale traveling north.
Why Not. Once you stay here you will wonder why you stayed anywhere else. It is a great location and the cottage is perfect for families that don't want to travel with large groups. But if you are looking for a lot of fancy amenities this cottage is not for you. It is priced affordable so that the smaller families can be this close to the beach.
Ocean Views, Ocean Views and more Ocean Views....
Beach, Beach, and more Beach.
It is the reason you come to the Outer Banks to begin with.
Although my cottage may be considered off the beaten path, it is still close to all major attractions such as The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Pirates Cove Marina and much more. You are also in close driving range to many great restaurants and shopping. The convenient pedestrian path at the end of the driveway is great for bikers, joggers, or just a casual walk.
