My wife and I booked for the Canadian May long weekend get away. We were impressed on how well the kitchen was stocked with the "little things" like coffee pods for the coffee machine. The shower was awesome and the place was immaculate and easy to find. It was a quiet neighborhood and we felt very private.
We were down for a Bobsled training camp, and needed something close and comfortable. This studio apartment is quite simply outstanding. Everything you need is there. Many reviewers have already outlined all the nice touches that are included, and I can confirm them all. It is close to everything, and yet tucked away in a private, quiet neighbourhood. The owners respect your privacy completely, and they were always very helpful when needed for anything.
I chose this place because it was cheaper than a hotel and had a kitchen. I wasn't expecting a luxury suite. I was BLOWN AWAY when I arrived. There was a bedside iPad and a charging station for all my electronics. The giant shower with 2 shower heads was luxurious. I didn't want to leave the reclining chair and comfortable sofa after a day of skiing. I had fun playing with the color of the lighting using the iPad (I could make the lights match my shirt!). The numerous little touches were amazing. A stocked kitchen with a large spice rack made dining in easy and affordable. Any personal care items I could have wanted were provided (and more). The appliances were top quality. The location was great! It felt tucked away in the woods but was right near all the local shopping and dining. I would have expected to pay twice the price for a place this well appointed.
This was the perfect getaway place for a couple who wants to unwind and relax! First, the place is gorgeously outfitted and decorated! Second, it is VERY private...no need to worry about loud, crowded hotels. Finally, the suite is so well-appointed! Really...allow of those little things you wish you had when you traveled, they have them!
Apple TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and a two-headed shower (how has it taken me so long to try one of these?!?!). While we came to climb and enjoy the High Peaks, we really could have stayed in this cozy nook all day.
Ed and Sandy were gracious hosts, but once Ed got us all settled in, in was like our own house. Cannot say enough good things about it!
My wife and I stayed at this property as a weekend getaway for our 10th wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better set up. The property is just outside of town in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for getting out of the touristy area for the night and no noisy kids running up and down the halls of a hotel after their hockey tournaments. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The room has all the necessary appointments with a few extras being added. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet stay in Lake Placid. We look forward to returning.
Lake Placid is located in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Explore the Adirondacks— Discover remote hiking trails, old growth forests, and serene waterways, wherever you go. Many people use Lake Placid as a base from which to climb the 46 High Peaks in the Adirondack Mountains. Try bobsledding, downhill skiing, ice climbing, speed skating or even ski jumping, or just enjoy shopping in the town's boutiques and warming up in one of the many restaurants. But Lake Placid isn't just a winter wonderland. Beautiful Adirondack State Park, which is larger than Yosemite or Yellowstone National Parks, offers year-round outdoor activities.
