Granbury House Rental Photos and Description
Sleeps 18, Skiers, Fisherman's Heaven
**NOTE ADDED July, 2014**
For those of you inquiring about our water level... YES!! Our water is very boatable directly from our dock with even the heaviest wakeboard boats. You can Wakeboard and ski full throttle either direction for miles. We have recently added a canoe for the adventurers.
Our electric boat lift is inoperable, but we have whips to secure your boat to our dock - see opening picture - as well as a buoy to secure a second watercraft. Access to private boat ramp is available, as public ramps are closed. Only boats on the water are launched privately. But feel secure that we have plenty of water for your adventures!!
SoOoOo... here's the description of the property:
Considered 'The Best Kept Secret in Texas' by Waterski Magazine, the pristine waters of the upper Brazos were created for hard core skiers and boarders. Oh, and I dare say party river rats. For those that know the area, we are in what is considered the Tin Top area. Between the Rio Brazos Subdivision and Driftwood - directly across the river from Silverado.
Join the fun by coming to this fabulous River Front Home fully furnished and equipped for fun times. The house consists of:
Master Bedroom with Full Bed and private bath
Middle Bedroom with Queen Bed attached hall bath
Upstairs Bunk Room with one King, one Queen, three Full and two Twin beds - and plenty of room on the floor for your sleeping bags or air up mattresses
Large upstairs bath with 2 sinks, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. OK, I know this is quirky, but we've put a king size bed in the closet off the bathroom - we just needed more bed space, and it's been perfect. We call it the snorers room (or better yet, a place to get away from the snorers) Sooo.. with 2 in each bed in the house, except for the twin beds, the house sleeps 18 in beds. I have an inflatable mattress your'e welcome to use if needed. Feel free to bring as many sleeping bags or inflatables you need to accommodate your group.
Living area with full windows riverside so you can sit on the couch in the air conditioning and watch your friends or family ski by.
Fully equipped kitchen
8 burner outdoor cooking area
HUGE outdoor fireplace on the water attached to the dock- oh my how this adds to the atmosphere!!!
Lower dock with slip and electric lift and whips on the side for a second boat. Under cover lower dock for those not needing so much sun. Upper Deck for sunning and dancing the night away.

My husband and I have had the privilege of playing here as we raised our family. What a perfect place it's been for us all these years hosting everything from junior high end of school parties to our daughters wedding. Nothing better than to put your kids and a few of their friends in a boat and staying 14 hrs :) I must say the Brazos River has done us a great service helping us raise our kids. Alas, the kids now have babies of their own, and boats and infants are just not so conducive to each other. My hope is to let others enjoy the property as our family grows back into visiting on a weekly basis as we once did. Until then.. we hope you choose to make memories here as I know they can be so treasured!
My husband and I have recently made the short treck to the Austin area and were devastated to see the water levels there. We are so sad for all of those who are accustomed to playing there. Although the water level here is about 8' lower than usual, we have more than 40 miles of river deep water suitable for boating, accessible from our dock! So y'all come let us share our water with you!! It's beautiful here. AND we still have our spring rains ahead of us! 2/26/2013
