It offers magnificent views across Kenmare Bay to the Caha Mountains, close to the 'Kerry Way' which is a walkers’ paradise, with hill and woodland walks to explore the Kerry countryside

Located 10 miles from Kenmare, 7 miles from Sneem, 3/4 of a mile from the sea & 5 miles from a safe sandy/pebble beach. Ideal base for touring Ring of Kerry, Killarney’s lakes & national park, Dingle & Beara peninsulas, Glengarrif and Bantry. Kenmare town offers a great variety of galleries, craft shops, gourmet restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs, two 18 hole golf courses, horse riding, sea excursions and fishing.

We had a wonderful week at Doon cottage. it was a perfect place from which to walk, visit some wonderful beaches, drive the Ring of Kerry and Valentia Island [ don't miss it!] or to just relax. The beds were comfortable, the rooms cozy and quaint but modern enough to be comfortable. Loved it!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Lovely cosy cottage in idyllic setting with everything you need for a perfect holiday.We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.The surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning.Killarny National Park awesome!We found beautiful beaches,lively bars,great food, friendly people.All in all a perfect week.We would definitely like to come again!

The charm of Doon Cottage made this our best vacation in the last several years. All the amenities made our two week stay perfect. Washer / dryer, dishwasher, well-stocked kitchen, and a thoughtful supply of books and puzzles made it seem like home. Quiet, charming, and beautifully decorated, the cottage was a perfect place to come back to after exploring Southwest Ireland. One of the worst moments of our vacation was having to leave. The two donkeys greeted us each morning, rain or shine. (We supplied plenty of carrots). Located in a quiet, rural setting, Doon Cottage is the perfect place to get away from the typical tourist attractions. We have vowed to visit Doon Cottage again.
