Our condo was lovely and clean. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths which were handy when we had company. The view of the Appalachicola River was wonderful including sightings of dolphins and sea otters. We had a very large screened porch which unfortunately did not catch any sun which would have been nice in the Winter. In summer a cool porch would be lovely. There was a pool which was protected from the cool breezes so we could sit there and read if not swim in January and February. We walked every day to downtown shops, restaurants and seafood shop to purchase dinner fix-ins and the seafood was as fresh as you can get it.
Planned a quick getaway over the Tgiving weekend and luckily selected this gorgeous condo at Water Street. It was perfect for us, within walking distance of great restaurants and bars, a beautiful view, and perfect for us. Our 24 year old son decided to join us at the last minute and having two bedrooms and two baths made it perfect. The only issue was the weather was too chilly for us to use our boat - can't control everything!! Will definitely return!
This is an absolute must stay if you are in the area. Great accommodations and the manager was great to work with us on our travel plans. Location is second to none and you will not be disappointed with the facility or the condo. We will return whenever the opportunity arises. You will not be disappointed
We had never spent any time in that part of Florida, and took advantage of fall weather to ride the motorcycles to Apalachicola for a two night stay. The two bedroom condo worked out great for two couples to share. We enjoyed the screened lanaii overlooking the water. The only drawback was the size of the second bedroom and bed, but we were aware of that when we rented the unit. We had an amazing time on an airboat ride! We enjoyed breakfast at Carolines, and of course had some great oysters just down from the condo on the water. We rode over to St. George Island and so enjoyed the unspoiled beach where we saw several starfish. We plan to come back to that area and spend a little more time exploring things around that area and hopefully doing some fishing.
The property is on Scipio Creek so it provides good visibilty of various water birds, boats traveling to and from Marinas (including Shrimp boats). It's location is within walking distance of Downtown. Several restaurants with tasty fair are also within walking distance. We stay here quite often and must say that Kathy always takes good care of us!!
The location and setting were lovely. Apalachicola is a friendly, accessible place with many interesting shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. The condo is better equipped for brief stay guests who don't need to cook much. The dishwasher was so loud that we ended up hand washing all dishes--there was no dish drain, dish towels. There were not enough dishes or pots and pans. There were virtually no cleaning supplies such as toilet bowl cleaner, counter cleaner, tub and tile, etc. The sofa bed in the living room was extremely uncomfortable--we ended up purchasing a blow up mattress to place on top of the mattress for our son in law. Then it was adequate. We left that behind when we left for others. The master bedroom bed was heavenly! The double bed in the second bedroom could be used by only one person, as with two people they felt like they were going to roll off. The condo is very nicely decorated and the back deck is wonderful. The fishing guide and fishing were wonderful.
