Drenched in light, it is a 'level in' one-story end unit with a dramatic and spacious living room. It sports high ceilings, new tile floors, large flat screen HDTV, and plenty of comfortable seating. A wall of windows and sliding glass door out to the back patio provides easy indoor/outdoor living.
The private backyard patio enjoys wonderful southern and western views. It offers desert landscaping with outdoor dining for 4, Weber gas grill, market umbrella, and Italian style Brown Jordan chaise lounges for your relaxing pleasure. This patio area is fully enclosed with high walls and gated for your privacy.
Both bedrooms come with incredibly comfortable queen size beds (European Sleepworks mattress and pillows in the master), and high end linens (Dwell Studio). The bathrooms are fully renovated featuring sleek white and grey tile.
The well-equipped kitchen has been handsomely renovated with enamel white cabinets, JennAir stainless steel appliances, fresh water filter, wine fridge, Cesar stone counters, and great breakfast eating bar. There is also a separate dining area adjacent to the kitchen with seating for 6 with gorgeous mountain views.
There is wireless Internet through out, premium cable service, and a new central AC and heating unit.
The grounds of this low-density mid-century complex are impeccably landscaped with meandering walkways highlighted by cool green grass, mature olive trees and native desert plantings. A large pool and spa area with amazing mountain views complete this idyllic Palm Springs destination.
The Araby neighborhood is 3 miles southeast of downtown Palm Springs and is shielded from wind gusts that can sometimes be more common in other areas of town. This private condo offers 'get away from it all relaxation' and is only blocks away from great restaurants, the SmokeTree shopping plaza, and the South End's Koffi. Also in close proximity is Indian Canyons and other hiking trails, golf, and shopping.

I love the desert and the mid-century modern aesthetic. I also enjoy renovating properties that have a strong authentic architecture but need some TLC. This property had great bones and is located in a wonderful complex. I purchased this property with my partner so we could bring it back to life, and create a special place.
This condo was fantastic, everything is just how you see it. Very modern and clean inside. Our stay was very comfortable and we spent many hours out on the patio. The condo had all the basics covered and we were very impressed all around. It was close to everything and at the same time very quiet. The pool was very clean and warm.
My husband and I stayed at Kari's condo for the month of March 2014 and loved it! It was a perfect blending of 60's architecture with an updated interior. It was great having brand new appliances, furnishings and bedding in a sleek, beautifully color-coordinated atmosphere. We enjoyed the nice warm pool and often were the only ones there. The location was quiet and close to shopping and hiking. We'd love to rent this condo again!
This condo, built in 1960, has been restored to perfection. It was especially exciting to be there during Modernism 2014, when the condo complex was featured on one of the tours. The two of us and our guest who came for a week during the month all found the condo to be comfortable and very well located. We are excited to return to this great place.
We enjoyed our week stay taking in the natural beauty of the area and small town, somewhat quirky feel of Palm Springs. The property brings you back to the Hollywood era of the past and gave us a feel of what "mid-century modern" means. Owner was very helpful, responsive, and informed. Easy access to bus line into city, near airport and travel routes, yet very quiet and private neighborhood. Great dining in Palm Springs. Hike into canyons, nearby horse ranch, back patio pool nice at end of day. Don't miss the Palm Springs aerial tramway! Indian Canyons beautiful and The Living Desert Wildlife & Botanical park should be on your list. Clean and comfortable property. We hope to get back another time and bring friends.
When I come to Palm Springs, I spend a lot of time doing nothing and I want to do it in a place that tells me where I am. This really is a Palm Springs modernism gem. The complex (featured on You Tube) is impeccably maintained and the condo has been tastefully updated while retaining a definite (but not gimmicky) mid-Century vibe. (The pictures do it justice.) Everything about renting this terrific condo was easy, and the friendly owner responded quickly when we emailed back and forth. Caveats: it is on the southeast corner of town, so you need a car. The third bedroom was not yet furnished, which was made clear when I rented.
