1 Bedroom + Sleeper Couch, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)

Small one bedroom cottage under a mile to convention center and downtown. Over 100 years old it use to be Garage 70 years ago they split the property in to apartments because of the war in 1942. It has been remodeled several times over the years. We just put all new furniture and appliances the best quality we could buy (first class) It has very good WiFi and HDTV. Less than a mile to downtown and convention center about 4 minutes to the Balboa Zoo and a few blocks to the Golf course.

There is a small grocery around the corner from the cottage. There are large supermarkets, Albertson's & Ralph's just minutes away by car.

The Bus line is also on the corner close to the studio. Two blocks away is a 7/11, and a few take out restaurants. It is one mile to San Diego Bay Front.

This cottage is situated in a home-like atmosphere with a large patio for barbecues or just enjoying the evening air. The convenience of on site-laundry, with quarters supplied, enhances its geographic convenience. Freeway 5 to the Beaches is close by & you can hit the sands of La Jolla in 20 minutes.

About Terry Portwood and Kate Bedwell

Retired professor. We travel internationally & have two Bichon's. Love to walk on the waterfront and eat the best fresh fish at Mitch's Seafood which is located at the Sport fishing landing. Balboa Park & the Zoo are favorites; Park has the Prado Restaurant which has great happy hour drinks & food; Zoo has Albert's Tree Restaurant which many do not know about; it is breezy & has an African motif.

This one bedroom is centrally located to major attractions in San Diego. Closeness of Convention Center, downtown, Gaslamp, and Balboa Park & Zoo is a major draw for tourists. We live close by to this property so we know first hand how convenient it is.

What makes this bungalow unique

The closeness to the airport makes it easy for travel days. The bus line on the corner insures easy access to great restaurants in the Gaslamp. Taxi fares are not expensive if you don't have a car. Closeness to freeways insures quick access to beaches, whether it be Mission, La Jolla or Del Mar or across the bay to Coronado.

Mission, Ocean, Pacific beaches are all 20 minutes away; Coronado beaches & Hotel Del Coronado 12 min close over bridge or Ferry; SeaWorld is 15 minutes away.

The place was very clean. The only issue I had was that there was road construction on the street, which made parking difficult. I was under the belief that the house was close to the convention center, which it was not.
