Overview

Angel Fire House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 8 Sleeps

This Chalet style home located within the Angel Fire Resort gives the residents all the seclusion and serenity of the mountains with the convenience of being within 3 minutes of the the outdoor activities of Angel Fire ski basin or 5 minutes to golf and tennis at the country club. This is truly a four-season home for all activites or to base from for excursions to local cultural and historical landmarks.

This beautiful mountain home sits on a double lot at the end of a dead end street and days will pass without another car driving by. The huge front deck gives a lovely setting for evening star gazing or waiting for the deer and elk to stroll by. The aspen trees that surround the deck are full of color during the fall foliage season.

The 3 bedroom 2 bath house is perfect for two familes to share for a vacation or a family reunion. The great room with the vaulted ceiling is where families will gather to watch the flat screen TV or play board games. A short, but steep 300 yard hike up the border of the resort propery line will take you to the Elliot Barker trailhead into the Carson National Forest.

The 2nd floor master bedroom has a king size bed with private bath and a loft area with sitting area or additional sleeping. The second and third bedrooms are down stairs with a bathroom between them. One room had 2 bunk beds and sleeps four, while the other bedroom has a queen size bed.

The dining area has a large table for the entire family and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a goumet dinner. The living room has a huge fireplace, with plenty of room to watch the fire or the satellite tv with DVD or listen to music on your ipod.

About Michael Peters

We are from the Texas Panhandle and we love the Angel Fire area so much that we wanted to share our home with others.

Michael Peters purchased this house in 2012

Why Michael Peters chose Angel Fire

We bought this property for the four season activites and the seclusion of the house. I lot of the homes by the country club are close to neighbors, but we wanted to enjoy the clean, quiet mountain air and the wildlife.

What makes this house unique

The best part of this home is being secluded, yet so close to the ski basin and the country club. The deck allows us time to stop and relax and remember why we are here. A family of deer visit us every evening and sometimes they bring a elk with them.

Wonderful Home for a Family Ski Trip

  • 5 of 5

This house is just perfect for a family ski trip. There is plenty of room for adults, bunk beds for the kids, a big deck to play on, ski racks at the door and a huge fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped for any cooking we needed to do and the dining room table is large enough for a big gathering. The house is impeccably maintained and well furnished.

The house is located within a few minutes of a grocery store, restaurants and the ski resort. We made a couple trips to the local grocery store and found it stocked with everything we needed. I should have bought everything there instead of hauling bags of groceries from home!

The owner provided detailed directions on how to get to the house and instructions on what to do upon arrival and departure. There was even a book of restaurants and local attractions. The owner responded quickly to our inquiries and the rental transaction was a breeze. We will definitely be renting this house again and have already recommend it to our friends!

Great place for families

  • 5 of 5

I went up there with a friend and our middle school boys for a "guy" trip. The bunkroom was perfect for the boys and the great room was great at night for watching the playoffs and having a fire. The owner sent detailed instructions on the house and also helpful hints for the area. Not a single car went by the entire weekend and even though we were just minutes from the ski basin and the country club it felt like we were all alone on the woods. I would recommend for a family trip or a couples retreat.

Excellent home, great owner

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful home that offers the best of mountain living and a very comfortable, well-furnished place to call home during your visit. It is a great floorplan for families and has everything you'll need from nice linens to extra cooking utensils in the kitchen. We definitely plan to return soon!

Ski Trip Oasis

  • 5 of 5

I have rented on VRBO many times. I have stayed at fair places and excellent places, and I pride myself on writing an honest review. I can honestly say this home is excellent.

Pros:

1. Owner is quick to answer any and all questions. (This is very important to me.)

2. The home is located very near all of Angel Fire's activities. (Grocery store, restaurants, and skiing is only 5 minutes away.)

3. The home is spacious, secluded, and inviting.

4. There is plenty of room in the home. You could easily sleep four couples. (Two couples have to split a pair of bunk beds.)

It was very difficult to think of cons, but every review should have them.

Cons:

1. The downstairs room with the bunk-beds can get hot at night if you close the door. To solve this problem, adjust the heater or open the door.

2. The walkway up to the house was a little slippery. This is not really a con as much as it is a warning to wear good shoes when walking on ice or snow.

Overall, this home surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives traveling to Angel Fire.

Amazing Family/ Couples Home!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first experience renting on VRBO or any website to rent a vacation home. This home is perfect for anyone with kids! Downstairs there are four bunk beds in one room and another room a queen size bed. Then, there is the perfect space for the adults to be upstairs with their own bathroom and a relaxing sitting/ sleeping area upstairs. The living space was great for our group of 7, but plenty of room for more to sit around the fireplace or enjoy a nice meal at the dining table. The kitchen offered all the comforts of home. We had no issues making any meal we could think of because of all the great appliances and pots/ pans. The grocery about a mile away offered any forgotten items as well at great prices. The owner also has a book of places to dine in the area, too.

The outside of the home is just as awesome! Being at the end of the street meant privacy, but the hill behind the house meant fun! We made our own sledding hill right behind the house. The garage not only keeps your car out of the weather, but also has everything you need for any outdoor fun right down to sleds.

The house is less than 10 minutes from all the activities Angel Fire has to offer. We can't wait to go back next year! Last, the owners added a touch of class by having the outside and inside decorated with a little bit of Christmas. Thank you for such a great home!

My stay in Angel Fire

  • 5 of 5

This house is located at the end of a street and very private. It is exceptionally well designed and constructed, well furnished and very clean. The property is as advertised and ideal for two couples or a family. We prepared several meals at home plus ate out in Angle Fire and surrounding towns. There is a shortage of fine dining in Angle Fire but the Country Club restaurant is very nice and Taos is only 24 miles away ( down a crooked road). There are several casual dining establishments in Angle Fire to choose from.

The owner was very helpful throughout the inquiry to vacation arrival period and answered all questions quickly and accurately.

I would recommend the property to anyone looking for lodging in Angle Fire, summer or winter.
