We lived at Deer Run for a number of years and now we enjoy returning for getaways with family and friends. We love this part of Vermont, the Green Mountains are great for hiking and skiing and we love exploring the small towns and back roads.
We rented the house as a base for skiing at Bromley. We were pleased beyond measure at the cleanliness, roominess and amenities available at the house! We loved the breakfast nook, board games, roomy 'mudroom'/entryway, super convenient keypad lock, lots of available parking, large dining and living rooms. One small complaint is that the TV is a bit outdated and seating is limited in the living room. Normally we wouldn't care so much but the weekend we stayed was so cold we couldn't ski (-12 one morning!) so we were inside A LOT. A third couch and an updated television we could have seen/plugged Chromecast/Roku/HDMI into would have been ideal... overall, though, we found other things to do. We made a fort in the plow's mountain of snow in the driveway, put together a jigsaw puzzle, played Clue (we brought it) and just relaxed. Manchester is a cute little town, Christo's served us some delicious pizza. Skip The Cheese Shop in Arlington and go to All Things Vermont in Manchester... lots of yummy free samples and tons of tasty local products for gifts. Thanks for a great weekend!!!!
We attended a family wedding in Arlington, VT and this house worked perfectly for 3 families to stay. Large living areas, large deck and quiet location worked to make our stay very relaxing...and two large bathrooms were more than adequate for the women preparing themselves for the events.
We brought our children and grandchildren to Vermont last week, and had an unforgettable time. As I walked through the property the first time, I was elated . . . it exceeded my expectations in every way! This property worked perfectly for our party of seven people. We had a two-year-old along with us, and were pleased that they had a booster seat available, too.
I have saved the link to this property. If I ever have a chance, I want to go back to the same place!
This house was very comfortable, clean and perfect for our group of paddlers, golfers and shoppers. We look forward to returning next year! All the games were especially appreciated and made for good fun!
