Photos and Description of the Beaver Lake vacation cabin rental
3 Bedroom, 2+ Baths, 2 Living Areas, Huge Kitchen, 2 Large Decks, Amazing Views!

You won't be disapointed! We have great views from inside and outside. Newly remodeled with lots of unique decor and warm cabin charm.

There are three bedrooms. One offers a king sleigh bed, with an en suite including a jacuzzi tub and separate shower as well as a double sink vanity and sliding glass doors for a great view down to the lake, and access to the huge upper deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a great view down to the lake. The third bedroom has 2 sets of bunkbeds with stairs to the top bunks, easy to access even for adults. All beds have memory foam mattresses and feather pillows, we keep foam pillows in the closets if you prefer those. The second bath is large with a tub/shower. And there is also a powder bath on the main floor.

Floor to ceiling windows in the living areas to give you the best view of the nature around you as well as a view of the lake. Two full baths, one with a jetted tub. The two living areas have a lot of room to spread out and relax while watching 3D movies, playing X-box, or catching up on your favorite shows on Direct TV.

The kitchen has plenty of room for the entire gang. The large table seats 8 (and makes a great gaming spot), and the island seats two. You have all the amenities expected, dishwasher, range, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. All the appliances you will need coffee maker, mixer, can opener, blender, crock pot, rice cooker, waffle maker, etc. There is a laundry room located off the kitchen with washer and dryer, vacum, and other cleaning needs in case you need them.

We have an upper and lower deck with plenty of seating for everyone as well as a patio with a teak dining set and umbrella. The outdoor gas grill is available for grilling your favorites, propane is supplied. The outdoor lighting will create a beautiful view of the surroundings in the late hours while relaxing on the decks, or maybe you'd rather sit on one of the many logs stools around the large fire pit and enjoy the ambiance of a nice fire while looking at the lake.

We have a boat dock equipped with a ladder for swimming in the beautiful clear lake waters, you can see your feet! Kids and adults have fun trying to master the water trampoline. Beach towels are available for your use as well. The walk down to the lake is shorter and gentler than most lakeside properties in the area.

If you are bringing a boat you can dock it at Starkey's Marina, or park it at the top of our driveway. We have a giant parking area in front of our cabin for multiple vehicles.

Eureka Springs is only 15 minutes from our cabin. It has so much to offer. Shopping, restaurants and bars, winery, antiques, history, sightseeing, entertainment...it goes on and on. If you are into fishing, there are striper guides that can help you catch that big one, my husband caught a 36 pounder last year with their help! We will be mounting that one over the fireplace as soon as the taxidermist gets it ready, so watch for it.

Beaver Lake is over 200 feet deep at the dam and is popular for scuba divers. If you would like to learn there is a scuba shop just a couple miles from us on 187. The shop also has good take out pizza and groceries. The lake is also renowned for eagle watching. I have seen many. But the area has plenty of other wildlife as well, there are deer everywhere, so be cautious while driving about.

About Vickie Kahkesh

I was born in Marshalltown, Iowa where I finished high school as a Bobcat. I married and moved with my husband to Chicago, where he finished his degree. We then moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, where we now reside when we're not at Beaver Lake. We have three boys, one is married and has given us four grand kids! Whew!!

Vickie Kahkesh purchased this cabin in 2011
Why Vickie Kahkesh chose Beaver Lake

We bought this property after staying in rental cabins in the area ourselves. We loved it so much, we decided we should buy one and retire in it someday. The area has so much to offer whether you like to be busy or just want some R and R. We both love the water, and being near it in such a beautiful area drew us both in.

What makes this cabin unique

The property needed a real update when we got it, but the bones were good, the floor plan was perfect for us. We needed the BIG kitchen, and two living areas, give different personalities (eg Men and Women, Kids and Adults) different areas to do different things at the same time. The beautiful windows with astounding views, and decks offering the same, made this an ideal place to spend time with family and friends. Having convenient and easy access to the lake for swimming and boating was a priority, and we definitely got the spot for that. We opened up some walls, added beams, rock pillars and rocked the fireplace, created some faux windows and siding to open up the dark hallway on the main level, and created some fun scenes with some Ebay finds. My son helped me build a wood boat to mount an old Johnson boat motor on, and away I went painting adding things to create an outdoor scene indoors. I hope you enjoy our place as much as we do!

The Ozark mountains have a multitude of things to offer for people of all ages. From bird watching to jet skiing, you won't lack something fun to do at any time. The area is loaded with shopping, places to eat and drink, sight seeing, antiquing, hiking, water activities, fishing, Victorian home tours, wild cat refuge, zoo, winery, and much more. Eureka Springs is one of the most charming places to see, the town remains mostly unchanged since it's early days, and the windiing and climbing streets are full of Victorian architecture, art, and lovely landscaping. Martin Greers Candy is located on Hwy 62 just past Gateway, and is some of the best chocolates I've ever had, homeade and family owned and operated, they ship candy all over. There are so many good restaurants in Eureka Springs, Local Flavor, The Grand Hotel and many more. We love Fresh Harvest, a new business with top quality pure olive oils and balsamic vinigar, the tasting will leave you asking for more. Stone Haus is a quaint and historical wine and cheese bar that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The artists that set up their shops in Eureka and the surrounding area have many beautiful pieces to offer. I love Vintage Cargo, they have gorgeous home furnishings. But there are so many other places to see and be! The Scuba shop on 187 just a couple of miles from the cabin offers lessons and diving in Beaver Lake. The water is so clear that it is suitable for scuba diving!!! I love to swim in this lake, something I won't do in just any lake, you can see your toes, and I like that! :) Anglers Grill is a great place to dine casually. The atmosphere is fun,and the patio is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery while having a cold drink and a delicious burger or some fried catfish, and it's only minutes away from the cabin on Hwy 62 on the way to Eureka Springs. All you need to bring is your food and clothes, but if you'd rather pick up supplies in Eureka, you can stop by Hart's grocery and get all you need for you stay, it's only a 15-20 minute drive.

To begin, I am very picky and have done this many times before, this property is one of the nicest I have stayed in with any VRBO property. You can tell the owners have put their heart into the property not missing on any details for the up most comfort of their guest. The decor is wonderful and looks professionally done. The beds are top notch and they obviously have spared no expense to ensure a quality visit. We spent one evening around the fire pit before it snowed on us the following day which in itself made the home even that much more enjoyable as their are plenty of windows to catch the scenery. The one thing missing from this property that would put it over the top is a hot tub, but that is only a small suggestion as we truly enjoyed our stay even without it. We will be back in the summer to enjoy the lake. It is in a great spot on the lake and so close to Eureka Springs. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Wonderful cabin!

Our family just returned from our first visit to Cedar Cabin, on Beaver Lake, near Eureka Springs. This cabin was perfect for our crew! The outdoor themed house was quaint, nicely decorated and very functional, with the upstairs providing great space for family time, and the downstairs a good place to relax and watch TV or play x-box. Most importantly it was very clean! Lots of decking around the house for viewing the beautiful lake or watching the kids roam the property. Although it was too cold for us to get in the water, their location on the lake is a great place for swimming, as it is on a cove. We ended each night with smores on the fire pit. My kids LOVED hiking around the property and canoeing on the clear lake. The owners were easy to communicate with and provided great directions to the property. Their description of the listing is right on. We will definitely be back!
