This home is great. It is clean and comfortable. The fenced backyard was just wonderful for us and our dog. We could visit with friends and grill out. There is just enough of everything, linens, towels, cookware. Nothing overdone or junky. The neighborhood was very quiet and you felt safe here. The new landscaping is lovely and adds to the comfort . a couple times it was raining I sat on the front porch and read. It was just really nice. This neighborhood is just awesome and so convenient to all. Could of used another bike so we could go riding together, but we just walked. You can walk to everything. Joanne, thank you for one of our best vacations ever.
P.S. My husband also wishes you had ESPN.
I loved the bed! Thank you! The bed raises at the head and at the feet using a remote control. I like to sleep with my head a little bit elevated. This bed was perfect for that. (Not to mention that I also liked the bed's gentle vibrating massage setting. So nice after a day at the beach.) The memory foam felt like sleeping on a cloud. This bed was worth so much to me.
I loved the spacious house. The kitchen had everything I needed. The tile floors helped when I spilled my coffee! I liked sitting on the porch too. I loved it all.
We walked to the beach and to a variety of restaurants. We ate breakfast outside. We walked to the Tuesday Morning Fresh Market and to the Friday night Art Walk. We sunned in the back yard and took a private boat tour of the surrounding Gulf, leaving from Gulfport Marina. We used the internet connection to send pictures back home. :) We grilled steaks on the back patio. We did everything we wanted to do.
It was a great vacation in a really good location - a wonderful home - and a perfect bed.
Thank you for a great stay! We want to come back.
My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying here for a week in February for her 18th birthday. Our gracious host, homeowner Joanne, warmly greeted us on our arrival. Aside from welcoming us with a cheery note, there were refreshments and a delicious Tiramisu cake, complete with a candle and birthday wishes for Megan! Thanks, Joanne! She also shared some ideas for places to visit in the area, a couple of our favorites being the new Dali Museum and the beautiful Fort De Soto Park. This home is very clean and cozy, nicely updated throughout, light and bright as the photos show and had all the comforts of home. We had fun being able to fix our homemade pizzas in the well-stocked kitchen! Very convenient and quiet location, with grocery shopping, restaurants and a beautiful library all nearby. We enjoyed walking the shops in downtown Gulfport, as well as taking a stroll at the nearby marina. There is a great fenced yard and cute little bistro area complete with charcoal grill for outside eating and drink. We enjoyed waking up to birds singing, and having tea and coffee outside before starting our day seeing the beautiful surrounding sites. There were, quite simply, too many attractions for just one weeks' stay...we'll have to return!!
We had a delightful stay and I look forward to a return trip when my daughter attends the nearby college in the Fall; I will also recommend this property to friends and relatives. Joanne, thank you for your hospitality!
Easy day trips to Clearwater, Orlando, Sarasota, The Villages, Ellenton Outlet Mall, many beach communities, and even to professional baseball games!
