A bright 2bdrm/2bth condo-apt: 1blk from the main street & 4bkls to waterfront!

Bright & nearly new: this top floor unit enjoys views to airport (YYJ) and beyond to the mountains of the Southern Cowichan Valley. This is a true 'turn-key' operation with all the basics in place, including salt, pepper, sugar, flour, paper toweling, etc. (Replace what you use with same product/brand.) If you choose to bring in your own, please take them when you leave. Cabinet space is limited.

This west-facing corner unit is best suited to a couple who desire a quiet retreat in downtown Sidney and who may want to entertain the occasional overnight guest. High ceilings and large windows make it appear to be larger than it's modest 875 sq. ft. This apartment was purchased from the builder in December, 2012 and remains a non-smoking and non-pet environment.

A motorized (remote control) roller sun-shade has been installed on the large window in the main room to minimize summer sun rays while allowing visibility (and improve TV viewing). A contemporary electric fireplace adds ambiance and warmth when needed or just use of the fan, without heat, to circulate air in summer. Vertical blinds are installed on windows in the bedrooms. For privacy, the bedrooms are separated by the main room with one on the north side, and the 2nd on the west side. The bathrooms are compact with bath-shower combos. Closet space is minimal and there is no extra storage available. (Pack accordingly). An European-made in-suite laundry duo is a feisty little 2'some that will scream at you when finished it's cycle, as will the microwave. Don't leave them unattended! There are 2 garden-gnome sized decks off the main room. Sorry, no BBQ (liability).

Re: auto & bicycle

There is a dedicated parking stall in the secured ground level garage, and a common (locked) bicycle room.

The heating is electric; the wi-fi is reliable; the TV package is generous; and the video recorder ensures no missed popular show, or golf games, regardless of where you may be.

For convenience, an Interac e-Transfer is preferred.
Deposit of $500.00 is required to secure the booking and will be retained as a security deposit. This will be returned within 30-45 days following vacancy and inspection of premises. Full payment due 60-90 days (equal to length of booking)prior to arrival date. Cancellation insurance is strongly encouraged. (Re-booking on short notice is iffy!)
Notes Minimum rental period is 2 months or 60 days. A 3 month booking is preferred. Full payment is due 2-3 months prior to rental date. Purchase of cancellation insurance coverage is encouraged. A Short Term Rental Agreement will be provided. Acceptance of this Agreement is assumed with receipt of deposit at time of booking. The deposit will be returned within 4-6 weeks after departure.
