This unit is all about location. This one-bedroom condo on the ground floor is in the heart of downtown Charleston french quarter. Walk to everything that matters. There truly isn't a better location in all of downtown Charleston. You're steps from everything including a 24-7 grocery store. You'll feel like you're on vacation the minute you step in the door and especially the minute you walk out the door.
My hubby and I stayed here for a friend's wedding, which ended up being walking distance for us to downtown. We rented a car, so the parking spot at the apartment building was a bonus. The apartment itself was clean, definitely enough room for both of us, but it might be cramped if you were a family of 3-4 staying here. There were linens, towels, and dishes in the kitchen for us to use. We mostly ate out, but the kitchen really came in handy for heating up our leftovers (my husband loved the funny cup holders, LOL). We're already thinking of coming back here!
Few very minor issues we had (wish I could really give 4.5 stars):
1) one of the entry doors (there are two on either side of the parking lot) wasn't working (not accepting entry code). It wasn't a big deal, but just had to walk to the other side.
2) There was no ironing board (but there was an iron), and we didn't realize it until the day of the wedding. To the owner's credit though, he offered to come down to deliver one to us, but there just wasn't enough time.
3) There is a humidifier that runs (kind of noisy), and there was a damp spot on the carpet near it. It was already like that when we arrived, and we assumed maybe the cleaning crew washed a section of the carpet. We noticed that spot was damp for quite some time, but we walked around it.
1) The Location! Walkable to downtown 5-10 mins, and to the ferry tour (in the opposite direction).
2) Free parking
3) Clean accommodations
4) Full size kitchen, really convenient.
5) Big walk in closet (we didn't need all the space, but nice to know it's there).
6) WiFi included.
If you decide to stay here, check out the seafood raw bar that just opened up a few blocks away, 167 RAW. Delish ceviche.
You can pay 400 bucks a night for a hotel to get this close to down town or you can get the same amenities here. Walked everywhere, clean, comfortable, and hosts were great. Can't do charleston any better!
This was definitely a great choice of where to stay in Charleston. The property was extremely clean and as described in the listing. It was also really nice to have owners that were extremely helpful in answering any questions that we had during our stay.
Being just a block or two from downtown was definitely one of the best qualities of this property as it allowed for great sightseeing, shopping, and dinning that was only as short walk away.
In just one day we ran the old battery overlooking the Charleston Harbor, made visit the South Carolina Aquarium, did some shopping on King Street and Market Street, and finished the day off at Pavilion Rooftop Bar. For only being there for a long weekend it was truly nice to be able to get out and see what Charleston has to offer.
We will definitely be staying again!

Had an awesome trip to Charleston. This unit was perfect walking distance to downtown, market, restaurants, bars, and great shopping. Very clean space with a nice kitchen. The owners were very helpful with my accommodations and also helped me to pick some great areas to see in the area. Highly recommended!
Completely agree with Mandy F's review.
Great location walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in Charleston. Perfect for one couple planning to spend most of their time out and about on the town and need a decent place to crash for a few days.
Just as described, clean and stocked (plenty of towels, pillows, linens, etc., even kitchen utensils and such) and the parking spot on its own made the price great. The VRBO site had a hiccup and didn't send any confirmations, etc., so we reached out to the owners through the site for directions, etc., and they were very accommodating. The location was fantastic, mere blocks from the market and right around the corner from the carriage ride place - which we went on twice! Sleeping accommodations would be a challenge for 4 adults. The bed was great for 2 of us, and the chairs and ottoman in the bedroom made a twin bed, basically, and was comfy, but the futon in the living room is meant more for kids or (shorter) teens. Kitchen was wonderful - can't beat a full-size fridge in a vacation rental! Unit was clean and very functional. The overall building leaves much to be desired - but it's not like you're checking in to live here, so it's not a big deal. And honestly, the interior hallway entrance to the unit is GREAT if it's raining! The Harris Teeter is a short walk, so if you DO need anything (like we did for our 4-year-old), you're right there. Like I said above, if you're looking for location and value for a quick family getaway, here it is.
This is, hands down, the best location in Charleston. 2 blocks from a 24/7 grocery, the best bars and restaurants in Charleston, the finest shopping in SC (King Street) and very safe. Walk anywhere and everywhere. The city market is 200 feet away!
