Located a block and a half from Deal Lake and a short bike ride to the beach, this fully renovated house offers a comfortable and affordable summer getaway to the most vibrant shore town in New Jersey. Renovated from the sidewalks to the ceilings, this house has charm, character, and comfort. Best deal in town from an owner who will do everything possible for you to enjoy your stay.
Among the amenities are a great patio for grilling, an inviting porch for afternoon sunsets and margaritas, a closed-off and professionally landscaped yard, and two flatscreens that you shouldn't watch (because there's too much fun stuff you should be doing).
Start your mornings by walking a block and a half to Sunset Landing and having a great breakfast on the deck overlooking Deal Lake. Then bike to the beach (one of the highest-rated beaches in all of New Jersey!) for a day in the sun and ocean. Take a walk on the boardwalk and make a dinner reservation at Langosta Lounge for a meal you'll remember all winter long. Stop long enough in front of the Stone Pony to feel its history and see which bands are on the marquis. And then walk into Ocean Grove, a town about as different from Asbury Park as possible but equally interesting in its quaintness, charm, and architecture. Head back to your spot in the sand for an afternoon nap. Before wrapping up your beach day, stop into the Beach Bar for some people-watching, or head back for margaritas on the porch. After dinner, head to Cookman Ave for the cool shops and bars (don't miss Johnny Mac's!).
Where else can you find a shore town with great history, great music, and great food? Only in Asbury Park. Come see for yourself.
Got married three years ago to the love of my life and left the house of my life for her! A great deal of sweat equity (and $$!) went into making this a house I was very proud of. Now it's available for your enjoyment.
Bob Mc Caig purchased this house in 2006
The beach, the food, the music, the diversity--a shore town that is alive.
Great patio for grilling, inviting porch for afternoon sunsets and margaritas, a closed-off and professionally landscaped yard, a block and a half from the lake and a great porch breakfast at Sunset Landing, and two televisions that you shouldn't watch (because there's too much fun stuff you should be doing in Asbury). A bike ride to the beach, the shops, bars (don't miss Johnny Mac's!), and restaurants (Brick Wall is still the best) on Cookman, and ice cream (has to be Nagle's) across the wooden bridge in equally interesting (but in a much different way!) Ocean Grove.
My family rented Bob & Grace's home for 3 months as we were elevating our home after Sandy. Bob & Grace have been nothing but kind & gracious hosts. The home itself is clean, warm and inviting in a very friendly residential area. There is pretty much everything you need and the location is fabulous!!! Short bike or car ride from historic Asbury Park boardwalk, great restaurants and unbelievable music scene. There really is nothing to want for. After rebuilding inside of our home having to leave again to elevate was difficult but I truly couldn't imagine any other place that felt so much like home. Such a comfy happy place! I'm so happy to have met Bob & Grace and stay at their beautiful home and can't say enough about what a wonderful experience we had while renting. If there were more stars …..it would be a 10!!!!
My friends and I had a wonderful experience staying at Bob's house for two nights over July 4th weekend. Bob is a very accommdating and attentive host and makes sure his guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the rental comes with beach towels and chairs, two beach passes, an outdoor gas grill, and two bicycles. Plus, Bob and his wife have great recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the Asbury Park area. We would strongly recommend staying at this house!
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It had every amenity we needed and we loved having a fenced yard especially because we have a dog. We sat out there for hours enjoying the beautiful weather. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might have forgotten. We will definitely come back to Asbury Park and this is the house we want to return to!
We really enjoyed our week in this beautifully furnished and decorated home, in a lovely quiet residential neighborhood just minutes from the beach & boardwalk. From the BBQ grill to the washer & dryer, it had everything we needed to feel at home, with easy access to shopping, dining, and the Asbury Park dog beach. The owners were accessible & communicative without being intrusive, and provided excellent tips to enhance our enjoyment of the house and area attractions. We have been renting private homes along the Jersey shore for many years and found this property the best so far!
My partner & I just spent a delightful week at the above mentioned house. The owner Bob could not have been more helpful and informative. This two bedroom 1.5 bath house is in a lovely neighborhood in Asbury Park. The house was comfortable, air conditioned, well appointed, free wi-fi, 2 large flatscreens. Parking was no issue. Bob provides beach badges, beach chairs & towels, and even 2 bikes to get around! He even put out food and water bowls for out cat! Couldn't be happier, we look forward to renting here again.
