Handicap Accessible, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, sleeps 4 -6 people

This family friendly vacation rental encompasses the lower level of the house. 2 spacious bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, each with a king size bed and both have full size private bathrooms with lots of towels. The galley style kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking needs and laundry is no problem with full size modern appliances just for you! Enjoy the mountain views next to the gas fireplace while sipping your morning coffee, or out on the patio while you BBQ dinner on the gas grill.
About Julie Briles

I grew up hearing stories about my great grandfather and his travels throughout Alaska as a young man searching for gold. I made up my mind at 6 years of age that I would go there some day. That day was 25 years ago! Our first home was on Kodiak Island where our children were born. In 2007 we decided to relocate to Anchorage for a change of pace and start a new chapter in our lives. There is so much to see and do!

In 2012 we purchased this property in Palmer to better accomodate our growing family. Palmer lies just an hour north of Anchorage in The Matanuska Valley.

My great Uncle, Fred Edlund, was a homesteader in Wasilla in 1915. His brother Anton Edlund ( my other great grandfather) followed a few years later in 1937. With a little luck one day, we were able to locate the homestead off Davis Road.

My husband and I just love raising our family here and have shared many adventures throughout this great state. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

We chose this property because it suited the needs of our growing family, the scenery is gorgeous, and its close enough to Anchorage so we can still keep up with our rental properties there.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

This house is like being at an oasis. It sits right in the middle of 8 peaceful acres but is actually less than a mile from downtown Palmer. The view of Pioneer Peak from the property is breathtaking! Moose and eagles are frequent visitors along with many beautiful songbirds
