Hello! We are a family from Belgrade, Serbia. We built our family vacation house in Njivice, a small and quiet village a few miles from Herceg Novi. Our three children spend every summer here, since they were babies. Now they are busy with their own carriers and my husband (pediatric neurosurgeon) and me (jurist), are retired and can finally spend all year in Njivice, so we opened the villa 'I Love Njivice' to tourists. Our granddaughters Marija (8) and Anja (3) now enjoys with us in our 'place of dreams'! Children love it!
Visit Njivice and Natural & Cultural-Historical Region of Kotor Bay and have an amazing holiday. Welcome!
Gordana Milosavljevic purchased this apartment in 1980
As the name of the villa tells you, We Love Njivice! It is a small peaceful family place with a great surrounding. Settled between two towns under the UNESCO protection, Dubrovnik and Kotor, and two international airports Cilipi (Croatia) and Tivat (Montenegro), Njivice are a great place, with plenty of opportunities for your holiday. It is a special privilege to have own beach, with jetty and mooring and uninterrupted magnificent scenic views of sea and mountains, and Mediterranean gardens - and we want to share it with you! In Njivice there are Restaurant- Cafe, Travel agency and Mini-Market.
Please read appreciation of my guests, family from England (5 adults, August 2013):
'Thank you so much for being such a delightful and welcoming hostess during our week with you. The apartment was all that we imagined and hoped it would be from your descriptions and past reviews and we loved your warm rustic style. We were grateful for the time you eagerly spent arranging hire-car, boat trip and transfers for us, rescuing our towels from the unexpected downpours-and the consoling pancakes, setting up the new barbecue for us, but also for the way in which you discreetly left us to enjoy our family holiday time.'
Welcome dear guests!
Villa has the best position in Njivice - our guests are saying! The property is right on the own beach with natural shade of plant tamaris, sun beds, mooring and jetty - ideal for sunbathing, swimming and fishing. The water in the Bay is crystal clear and calm. If you like fishing and snorkeling, we suggest you to bring the equipment for those activities. Specially for children! It is good Feng Shui energy, with sea in front and mountain behind. We organize for our guests transfer, excursions, fishing, as we are friendly and helpful people. With own beach, a 'personal touch' in exterior and interior, you will find that this place was built and maintained with love. Our guests from USA, Australia, Asia, GB and other European countries are saying 'It is a place with the soul'!
Overall this is a wonderful place. Quiet and secluded, but with good connections to the bright lights of Herceg Novi just across the bay. Our guests consider that a views from the apartment are some of the most beautiful they have ever seen. WELCOME! Gordana
My friend and I stayed here for a week in September 2014 and absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect; the apartment is ideal (clean, comfortable, kitchen well equipped, excellent air conditioning) and in a great location, right on the beach. You literally just have to walk downstairs to have access to a private beach, which is decorated by shells of various crustaceans and furnished with lounge chair. We also really appreciated the free and unlimited Wi-Fi Internet.
The owner of the apartment, Gordana, and her charming husband were very kind and helpful to us. When we wanted to traverse the water, they helped us arrange an excursion by boat to Miriste beach and the "Blue Cave," which was fantastic! The apartment is situated near many local landmarks, so we were always preoccupied and entertained.
We would highly recommend the apartment, and we hope to return for another relaxing stay.
Villa "I love Njivice" is one of the best places of rest one can imagine. The appartment is equipped with all necessary staff (including toilet, shower, fridge, and kitchinette). The villa has a little beach, where you can swim just after you get up and just before you go to bed. The view from the villa is really majestic: the Bay of Kotor, mountains, clear sky. The host, Gordana, will arrange for you an airport transfer and various excursions (including the famous Blue cave) and give practical advises regarding your stay and rest. And all that - for very reasonable price. Thanks a lot, Gordana!
Wonderful hosts, clean and well stocked apartment with a stunning view and fabulous 'beach'. The apartment was perfect for us- 3 adults and 1 toddler. Gordana made sure everything went smoothly, from our reservation to airport transfers, helping with a rental car and even making wonderful crepes for us on the couple rainy days we were stuck inside. The apartment is a short walk to the town's hotel (Riviera) that has a nice beach and ferry over to Herceg Novi. The location of Njivice is perfect if you are looking for a quiet peaceful village close to Dubrovnic and seeing sites around the bay of Kotor. Although the studio behind the apartment does not have a view- it would be perfect to rent with the apartment for larger groups or a family with older kids who need another bedroom (share a patio but have separate entrances). We will definitely plan a trip back and would recommend the apartment to our friends.
The view from our bedroom balcony on the top floor apartment was stunning, across the bay to Herceg Novi and the majestic mountains behind – it was always fascinating to watch at dusk as Herceg Novi lit up. Every morning we sat out on the balcony before 6.30 am with our coffee, waiting for the sun to rise over the mountain ranges opposite, shimmering across bay, before having an early morning swim at 7 am! We would also see huge cruise-liners gliding round the headland towards the Bay of Kotor – by early evening, we would watch the same cruise ships heading out to sea. There was a lovely, quiet shaded terrace at the back of the apartment.
Our teenage children loved being able just to skip down the stairs from the apartment to swim from the jetty in the bay. We could sit and watch them playing in the water from the balcony.
Apart from the view and location, the apartment was bright and very clean, with air-conditioning. Gordana was a most welcoming, informative and obliging host.
The village of Njivice was pleasant, and a lovely place to go for a stroll in the evening, overlooking the bay, just soaking up the atmosphere from Herceg Novi. Njivice was a great base, with hypermarkets in Igalo and Herceg Novi. The border crossing in the village saved time on the route to Dubrovnik through the attractive Konavale region, and had much more scenic views over the sea.
In two weeks, we drove to Trebinje, Stolac and Mostar in Bosnia, staying in Mostar overnight and driving back via Medugorje, along the magnificent Adriatic coast road via Dubrovnik. The drive around the shore of Kotor Bay to Kotor itself, and its old town, were spectacular. We also visited Dubrovnik and the Konavale region in Croatia. The ferry across the mouth of Kotor Bay was always very quick and an experience when cruise ships passe. We made an early start one day to visit Our Lady of the Rock on the island off Perast (featured in Francesco’s “Mediterranean Voyage” BBC series) by water taxi, and were back before our teenage children were even up! We had ambitious plans to visit further afield in Montenegro, but curtailed these because Njivice itself was so relaxing. A highlight was the boat trip Gordana arranged for us through for us through a neighbour to the Lustica peninsula opposite, passing by the Habsburg fort of Marmula and dropping anchor at the Blue Cavern, swimming in its sapphire waters, and with a stop for lunch at some great fish restaurants. It was so lovely, we did this twice.
On arrival at the village of Njivice, my husband and myself, were greeted at the gate of apartment 'ilovenjivice' by Gordana, the owner of the accomodation where we would be spending the next 2 weeks. Gordana showed us around the apartment where, from the balcony at the front of the house, we were met with a stunning view! Stretching before us was the beautiful bay with little fishing boats scattered here and there and we could see the jetty where we would spend time relaxing and swimming in the warm, clear water. I loved to have an early morning dip in the bay. The water was so warm, the sun was hot and beaming down and I felt as though this bay belonged to me! It was so delightful to swim in such peaceful surroundings. The apartment was clean and homely with a quirky look due to Gordanas artistic touches. There was plenty of hot water and clean towels. As well as the balcony at the front of the house, there was also a lovely shaded garden area situated at the back of the house - decorated with Gordanas artistic sea themes. Gordana arranged a couple of boat trips for us to neighbouring islands. These too, were lovely places and well worth seeing. Another day, Gordana and her husband, Zoran, took us around the bay in their fishing boat where they handed us a fishing rod each. unfortunetly, we did not manage to catch any fish, but it was a nice boat ride! However, a couple of occasions, Gordana cooked us fresh fish which was beautifully presented and served and throughly tasty. So different from fish in Manchester! A taxi boat was available a few yards down from 'ilovenjivice' which for one euro p.p each way would take you to the 2 neighbouring islands opposite - Igaloo and H Nova where there were a variety of places to eat. The boat ran 4x daily there and back. We got to know the captain of the taxi boat who was a lovely man. I could say so much about 'ilovenjivice' but will run out of space. Gordana is a lovely, helpful, friendly, warm and hospitable person who wants her guests to enjoy their time at her accommodation which we really did. We loved the views, the jetty, the fish cooked by Gordana, the sun and the peacefulness of Njivice. So Gordana and Zoran, thank you so much for allowing us to share your holiday home with the stunning views and the beautiful sunrise. It was so nice to meet you and your family and we have happy memories and photos to remind us of our time in beautful Montenegro and especially at 'Ilovenjivice'. We loved it!!!
This summer my family and I (6 persons) spent a beautiful week in Njivice, Montenegro. We stayed at the “I love Njivice” villa, in 2 double bedrooms, one room with a bunk bed, and one apartment, so we had plenty of space. In few words I can say that we absolutely loved it! And what is not to love. The sea is 5 m away from your window, so you can go down the stairs and you’ll be there in 1 minute, you have your own private beach, the rooms have beautiful, exceptional, breathtaking views and in addition to these you feel like home. Our host has made sure every day that we have all we need, and she guided us with directions for our trips all around Montenegro, so we didn’t miss anything important and we don’t have any difficulties on the road. So a big 10 for her, she was great!
The villa was very clean, and something I consider very important, the water is good to drink. Something I found interesting and have never encountered before is that the door to the balcony and the window had no glass. Only a mosquito net and shutters. In the night time it wasn’t cold, so the glass wasn’t that necessary, but there were moments when I wished there was a glass there, when the music in Herceg Novi was so loud, that you could hear it very clearly from your bed. Well… you can’t have it all, and in the morning instead of the noise from the clubs, you could hear the peaceful sound of the sea.
Every morning, after you wake up you can put your swimsuit and “jump” from your bed into the sea. I will always miss that: the water was so close from your room, that you had the sensation you can reach it from your bed.
Gordana, our host, told us one evening that if we want, a neighbor can take us the next day with his boat to visit the blue cave and Mamula island. So we agreed, and we spent the next day on a beautiful cruise in the golf.
To conclude, I’ll say that this accommodation made our vacation splendid, and I sure hope we’ll come back here soon.
Nearest Airport: Dubrovnik (Croatia) 26 km, and
Tivat (Montenegro) 26 km.
Property is at the own beach, but there are many great beaches nearby. The sea is crystal clear and usually in the summer months calm and inviting.
The village of Njivice is across the bay from Herceg Novi and Igalo, which is only a short 10 minute drive away.
Situated on the shoreline of Boka Kotorska Bay, beachfront apartment 'I Love Njivice' has many comparative advantages. You can discover the beautiful under-the-sea world in Njivice and surrounding. It is a great place to do snorkelling and in the vicinity there are several scuba diving clubs. Close distance to many attractive places, 3 to 50km, beside Dubrovnik and Kotor, both recognized as the UNESCO world heritage sites, we suggest you to visit Perast and Risan. There is scenic road around the bay shores. Some of these towns still have old fortresses, churches from the 13th century and museums that you will enjoy seeing.
