3 bedroom home located close to USM Campus and Downtown Portland

This spacious three bedroom home is located in a residential neighborhood close to the University of Southern Maine’s campus. Within close proximity you will find:

• Hadlock Field, home to the Portland Sea Dogs minor league baseball team

• Deering Oaks Park, hosts the Portland Farmers Market Saturday mornings 7am-12

• Back Bay trails offer breathtaking views for jogging, walking or biking

Portland is located approximately 100 miles from Boston, and is known for its historic working waterfront. Transportation links are provided by Amtrack from Boston and the Portland International Jetport, both with easy access to the city. Other area attractions lie within a twenty minute drive include Portland Headlight, Fort Williams, beautiful salt water beaches, several golf courses and world renowned LL Bean flagship store in Freeport. It's easy to catch a ferry from the Old Port that will take you out to islands in Casco Bay for a day trip.

This cozy, family-friendly location will allow you to experience why Forbes Magazine recognizes Portland as the most livable small city in America. My wife and I currently reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We are originally from Portland and have recently invested in this house (September 2012) as a place to stay while back home visiting (and to motivate us to come back home more often). We are confident that you will feel just as 'at-home' while vacationing here in the wonderful City of Portland, Maine.

We chose this property to purchase due to the central location of everything greater Portland has to offer. This neighborhood is family friendly, safe, and as close as you can be to the downtown area while still having the relaxation and serenity of a quiet neighborhood.

What makes this house unique

Automobile not necessary to take advantage of everything Portland has to offer but is recommended for the short drive to beaches, outlet shopping, and the many wonderful hiking areas on the out-skirts of Portland. Bike rentals are always an option from several nearby locations.
