The Perfect Place in the French Countryside

5 of 5
Submitted: August 18, 2011 Stayed: July 2011
This is the French countryside at its best! Fresh air, luscious meadows with countless cows and sheep, narrow country roads, lots of chateaus and monasteries – and only a short drive away are stores and markets selling abundant French food and wine. The house is spacious and very tastefully decorated. It has all the amenities of a modern house, but the style of an ancient French farmhouse has been well preserved. We loved having meals at the large kitchen table and then sitting in front of the fireplace with a glass of burgundy wine. The location of the house is quite remote but its only five minutes by car to the next supermarket and a wonderful boulangerie (right next to the supermarket). Do not miss to buy their bread – it is delicious!

A perfect holiday

We just returned from a week stay at this lovely farmhouse and we already thinking about our next visit. We were 4 adults and two kids under the age of 2. The house was absolutely perfect. I agree that I would have loved to have double beds in the other two rooms but it definitely wouldn't deter me from staying there again. The owners even offered two travel cots for the kids free of charge. The house also had a fully equipped kitchen which made cooking at home easy. We enjoyed many lovely meals sitting around their beautiful kitchen or outside enjoying the view. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is definitely the place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great House

5 of 5
Submitted: July 27, 2010 Stayed: July 2010
Four adults and two young children - we all stayed in the farmhouse for six days after travelling for three weeks in Paris and London. It was the perfect end to an activity-filled holiday - the 18th century home was beautiful - sympathethically renovated, with a great, big wood table in the kitchen for all to sit around and chat, have breakfast and dine. Well appointed with all the mod cons you need. Away from it all but with a car, it's very close to small towns, big towns and the nearby lakes. Highly recommended - and great with kids. Only drawback was the single beds in both the non-master bedrooms. Although these rooms were very well sized and with ensuites - it would have suited us better to have another double bed option for couples.

We have just had the most amazing week in a wonderful French farm house in beautiful part of France. We loved the house, just perfect, all large rooms, with great views and very private. We spent our time driving around lovely villages, eating and drinking great food and wine. Would highly recommend it to any of our friends. Michel & Robert.
