This one-story cottage has two bedrooms, one full bath, and enough room for up to eight guests. Built in the 1950s, this vacation home retains plenty of its vintage beach-cottage charm, but has been equipped with all the modern amenities you could desire.

Just steps from one of Santa Barbara's most beautiful beachfront parks, this sunny two-bedroom cottage makes a fantastic retreat for a family vacation, romantic weekend, or girls' getaway!

You enter into a cool and breezy living room, where a stylish recliner and comfortable futon sit before a 50" flat screen television with cable and Blu-ray. Kicking back with a cold drink and a good movie is the perfect way to relax after a long day in the sun!

Although Santa Barbara is full of amazing restaurants, the cheery kitchen is fully stocked and waiting in case you prefer to prepare meals at home. In addition to the standard refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher, there are plenty of small appliances, dishes, cooking utensils, and dinnerware.

The extendable dining table sits up to eight in the beautiful sunroom, where walls of windows overlook the lushly landscaped backyard and sliding glass doors allow you to enjoy the fresh breezes as you eat. The sunroom also has a sitting area with another TV and a sleeper sofa, perfect for extra guests or letting the kids pick their own movie in the evenings.

The relaxing master bedroom has a king-sized Sleep Number bed, and the second bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed with pillow-top mattress. The bathroom is immaculate and offers the charm of its original 1950s tub for long evening soaks.

The spacious backyard has its own patio dining set and a gas grill for summer barbecues, but you may choose to sip your morning coffee in the front yard, with its peaceful ocean views framed by palm trees. Your small dog is welcome, but we do ask that you not leave your furry friend unattended in the home. Watch the cruise ships pass by as you make your plans for the day! The house does offer wireless Internet access, so you can easily find all the directions and restaurant reviews you need.

Only three doors down from this lovely cottage, Shoreline Park stretches along the water's edge; a gorgeous staircase leads 81 steps down to Mesa Beach, a particularly scenic and peaceful stretch of sand nestled below the park. At times, you may get the feeling that you have a private beach all to yourself!

Nearby Leadbetter Point offers excellent surfing for beginners, with plenty of rental shops located along the beachfront. Experience the water from a more steady perch in a kayak, a popular way to explore the harbor, or book a guided kayak tour out to the sea caves and hidden coves of the gorgeous Channel Islands. Less active types might enjoy a whale watching trip, or landlubbers can head to State Street (less than two miles from your front door) for the city's busiest shopping and dining district.

No matter what activities or adventures your Santa Barbara getaway may include, you'll love having this breezy beach cottage to call home at the end of every fun-filled day!

Adorable home, gorgeous location

This home is absolutely adorable, well-decorated and fully stocked with plenty of towels and kitchen gadgets (we ate out a lot, but cooked every breakfast). The fact that it is a few doors down from the Shoreline park grass and playground was wonderful for the children. The fact that it was a few doors down from a staircase to the beach was wonderful for everyone. We spent most days walking across to those places and enjoying the view and sun. It was also a very short drive to Stearn's Wharf and downtown restaurants and shopping which we also did often. We were worried about it feeling small with only 2 bedrooms and 1 bath (we were 2 families) but the additional sun room made the home feel large and the backyard was wonderful too. At times, the only 1 bathroom was not ideal, but am still so thrilled we booked this lovely cottage.

I loved that this house was within a walk to all the action, but was far enough away to be very quiet at night. I loved that this house is old but has been well cared for. The furnishings for the most part awesome. I have severe allergies to dust and I noticed the pillows on the King size bed had allergy slip covers over them. Everything in the house was mostly clean (except the tub drain in the bathroom being plugged the first time we used it) so I really had no issue. I was very happy here, and will happily return sometime!

Great Family Vacation!

Firslty I need to say, we appreciate any rental home that allows us to bring our dog. Thank you! The Beach Walk Cottage was in a terrific location close to beach and all amenities. The street was quiet and the neighbors were nice and welcoming. For an older home, it was immaculate, cozy and bright with sunshine. We loved the x box for the kids,the fresh ground coffee and the movie library. Terrific for winding down at the end of the day. We loved our vacation. It was stress free and fun - even with 4 kids and a dog!

Great Stay- Very nice as well as child and pet friendly

This is an older house but they have done an amazing job of turning it into a beach house vacation rental. It is colorful and nicely decorated with new furniture and fresh paint and so clean. It is so well organized and has every extra thing you could need(Kitchen is so well stocked, sand toys to take to the beach and even movies the kids could watch). A great location just steps away from a local park overlooking the ocean. Great yard space for dogs or kids. Thanks so much for all the effort that was clearly put in to make this a great vacation rental! We will recommend it to friends for sure!
