Tahoe City House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

This updated condo in the St. Francis Lakeside community has three bedrooms, three full baths, and a fantastic location in Tahoe City! Enjoy seasonal pool and tennis, a year-round shared hot tub, and a private beach on Lake Tahoe.

The full kitchen has granite countertops and a gas range for your home chef, and the living area has a cable TV so you won't miss the big game. There's wireless Internet for those who need to stay connected to the office, and a washer/dryer to keep packing light. Enjoy peekaboo views of the lake from the back deck!

Not only will this condo be your gateway to all the seasonal activities around Lake Tahoe, you can stay right in the beautifully landscaped complex and lounge in the hot tub (please note the indoor hot tub is adults only), take a swim in the seasonal pool, take a walk on the beach, play a game of tennis or volley ball, or just walk out on the pier and enjoy the lake.

If you brought the boat, there's a boat launch just a block away. Got the bike? There are trails all around Tahoe City. (The trail from Dollar Point to Tahoe City - about a 2.5 mile ride - is right outside the door.) Go rafting on the Truckee River, rent a kayak, or book a sunset cruise and watch the sun set on the lake. And there are festivals too! The SnowFest Winter Carnival is in March and the Harvest Festival is in October and has an Oktoberfest theme.

Kings Beach is just 9 miles down the road, Crystal Bay's historic casinos and nighlife are just 10 miles away, Alpine Meadows is 5 miles away, and Squaw Valley is 6 miles away.

Wonderful place to rest and relax

  • 5 of 5

There is nothing negative that I can say about the condo I enjoyed for five nights. The supplies inside were very abundant, the furniture was comfortable, the heating worked very well and any directions I needed were clear. And I blessed that we had a wonderful fall of snow on the last night of my stay. While Vacasa didn't need to go to this length to provide a glorious experience, it was totally enjoyable.

Great quiet spot

  • 5 of 5

We were up in Tahoe for the Winter Wonder Grass festival at Squaw Valley and with the kids in tow wanted a quiet place away from the resort. This spot was perfect, about a 20 minute drive to and from Squaw was easy and the town was just a few minutes away. Well stocked kitchen everything worked except the coffee grinder was broken. The decor is a bit dated but the place was clean, comfortable and quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would stay again for sure, Will probably try and reserve again for next years festival.

We were lucky and had snow the first night we arrived. The next day was snowing and the area surrounding the condo was beautiful.

The condo itself really needs to be updated. The furnishings, paint and bedding seem to have been there since the 90's. The cabinets in the kitchen seemed to be falling in some places with a quick fix look. The kitchen was fully stocked with pans and dishes which was really nice cause we made breakfast every morning.

We had to hook up the cable and we couldn't figure out how to turn off the subtitles which was a little annoying.

This place was affordable for four people and had plenty of room but in the future I think we'd pay a little extra for more comfortable beds and better furniture.

Poor Customer Service and Run down Condo

  • 1 of 5

We stayed here for our one and only family vacation of the summer. The location to Tahoe City was great, the condo grounds offered everything we could ask for. The condo itself was awful. Run down and dirty. The dishwasher had standing water in it when we arrived and we called 2 plus times to have it fixed but no one ever showed up to fix it and no one ever called us with any follow up. The smell from the old standing water was disgusting not to mention that the previous renter swashed the dishes with the nasty water and someone put them away-disgusting. We left something behind when we checked out and have called, emailed, etc. asking if we can pay to have it returned to us but no one from the rental company will get back to us. We would never stay at this condo again or rent from a VACASA run property again. I do hope the owners of the property are aware of how poor their property is being managed by VACASA.

Owner's Response: First of all, we are very sorry that the broken dishwasher effected your stay. We are working on replacing or repairing the dishwasher. Additionally, we are sorry that items were misplaced. Our local staff returns all items left behind in our homes to a lost and found and we make every effort to return items to their owners. Ultimately, Vacasa is not responsible for items lost in the homes or on property.

Nice for a family group

  • 5 of 5

Clean and family friendly. Well-equipped kitchen for all meals though small for more than one cook. Adequate bbq and balcony seating. Beautiful complex with a short, private walk down to lakeside. Close to Tahoe City and easy drive to other north lake towns. Responsive management. Excellent value.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Big, roomy condo/cabin. Right next to the lake. Loved hanging out on the dock. The town of Tahoe City is awesome. Lots of cool restaurants there. Hike nearby Eagle Rock, and don't forget to take the scenic drive down to Emerald Bay.
