2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa, sleeps 4+ near to restaurants, bars and shops

Mango House is situated in Jamestown Park, Holetown. There are 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite and the second has twin beds (that can be made into another double) and there is another bathroom in the main part of the villa. Each bedroom has air conditioning units and ceiling fans.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering guests. There is also a BBQ and plenty of outside seating.

There is a TV and DVD (region 1) with lots of DVDs to watch in the main living room and both bedrooms also have TVs. It's perfect for a family of four or two couples, although we do have 2 fold up beds for additional guests.

There is beach access through Discovery Bay hotel which is just across the road.

We live in London, but come over to Barbados and Mango house for a couple of months each year.

Why Lisa Carroll chose Holetown

We always loved the look and location of this house on many of our previous trips. Then on one trip it was for sale and it was the right time for us to be able to buy it. We love Mango house it's our home away from home

What makes this villa unique

There is a huge mango tree in the garden with delicious mangoes when in season. the monkeys visit for breakfast and feast ont he mangoes. It is close to the beach and facilities of holetown, but still has that residential feel about it.

We just got home from two weeks at Mango House, and wish we were still there! The house was very clean and tidy, very well equipped, and the photos shown on the ad are exactly what is there. Georgiana (the housekeeper) was very friendly. Our favorite part was sitting in the outdoor seating area; we sat out there reading for the majority of our time there, which was exactly what we needed to relax. We enjoyed seeing the monkeys (although not so much the mess they made throwing mangoes into the yard - ha, ha!) and the flowers in the yard were beautiful. It was close enough to walk to the grocery store and the little chattel shops and restaurants, and the beach is just across the street. We were glad of the laundry facilities, as we tend to pack light. We would definitely recommend Mango House, and I'm sure we'll back back there again.

A Great Holiday Base - conveniently situated

Mango House is a lovely property, well cared for and cleaned by Georgie and Harry and very conveniently situated near to the beach and the shops. The house is quite roomy and benefits from a well appointed kitchen and two bathrooms with two great showers!! It is like a home from home. Lots of books to borrow and videos to watch including those suitable for young children. The garden is a bonus. From the veranda you can sit and watch visiting wildlife - we saw humming birds, mongoose and monkeys appear at different times. Holetown itself is a great base for a holiday. There is a good mixture of designer shops (Lime Grove) and more reasonably priced gift shops and a supermarket that stocks some Waitrose lines. There is wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from too - all within easy walking distance of the house. We loved Surfside on a Sunday night as they have a steel band playing and Just Grillin' was another favourite with their down to earth prices. We even tried street food at lunch time - vendors appear at midday round the corner from Mango House and the food they sell is extremely good value and tasty. Bus stops are just round the corner so getting to Bridgetown is just a matter of a 5 minute wait and 2 Barbados dollars. The reefs just off the west coast are within easy reach. Some are just a few yards from the beach and if you fancy snorkelling you will see some fabulous fish and a turtle or two!
Lisa Carroll is easy to deal with and booking was not a problem. She arranged for Harry to pick us up from the airport too. She leaves a very informative file in the house which explains everything you need to know to make the most of your time there. I would recommend this property to anyone and next time I want a holiday in Barbados, I'll be going back to Mango House.

MARVELOUS HOLIDAY @ MANGO HOUSE HOLETOWN BARBADOS

MANGO HOUSE IS JUST AS DESCRIBED IN THE BROUCHER. LOVELY & HOMELEY , WITH PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN FOR THE EVENING GAMES ,DVD'S & BOOKS.

THE KITCHEN HAS ALL THE EQUIPTMENT THAT YOU COULD NEED FOR MAKING MEALS.

THE GARDENS ARE LOVELY & NICE TO SIT AND RELAX IN THE SUNSHINE.

IT IS A SHORT WALK TO THE SHOPS IN HOLETOWN WITH BAR'S & RESTURANTS TO EVERY POCKET. LIMEGROVE SHOPPING MALL IS WORTH A VISIT & THE BAR IS PLEASANT TO HAVE A GLASS OF WINE OR CUP OF COFFEE.

WE HAVE BEEN TO BARBADOS A LOT OF TIMES BUT THIS HOLIDAY WILL TAKE SOME BEATING.

GEORGIANA IS A LOVELY LADY & VERY HELPFUL,NOTHING WAS TO MUCH TROUBLE FOR HER.

HARRY PICKED US UP & RETURNED US TO THE AIRPORT HE WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SEEING THAT WE HAD EVERYTHING THAT WE NEEDED.

THANK-YOU LISA FOR ALLOWING US TO STAY IN YOUR HOME. HERE'S TO THE NEXT TIME.

great house

Mango house is a great place to stay, it looks small from the outside but opens up like a tardis.
It has everything you need plus more and is in a great location for restaurants and bars.
If you are thinking of going to Barbados then this is the place to stay
It has a great Housekeeper called Georgiana who keeps the house spotless and will look after you like family.
We hope to stay there again next year.

Love Love Love Mango House.!!

This was our second visit to mango house and we loved every minute of it.
Lisa arranged everything for us even our collection from the airport. The house is in the perfect location for the beech supermarket and lime grove.
We made full use of the kitchen by cooking some meals at home and mango house is more than equipped to cook a proper meal.
The house is kept clean and tidy by georgina.
We are already planning our next visit to mango house.. Thanks lisa

Comfortable and Spacious

My husband, sister and I stayed at Mango House for two weeks and were delighted with the high standard of furnishings, bedrooms and kitchen facilities. We have been to Barbados many times and this is the second time we have stayed at Mango House. We are not great beach people and have visited the various points of interest on a number of occasions so the outside space Mango House has to offer is absolutely ideal for us. Both bedrooms have french windows stepping straight out to a large patio area which is great for sunbathing but there is also a more shaded dining area with comfortable seating on the opposite side of the house, also outside, overlooking the lovely garden. Inside there is a lounge area and a smaller dining table which was fine for the three of us situated just in front of the kitchen . The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a handy supermarket about ten minutes walking distance away which stocks everything you might need. There are excellent restaurants nearby but you can easily jump on a bus to get to many other places - the choices are vast. I would definitely recommend Mango House - we had hoped to return next January but, not surprisingly, it is already fully booked which says it all really. I would have given it a 5 star rating but for some reason, my computer wouldn't highlight the 5th star.

WOWEEEEEEE!!!What a discovery!!

Literally don't know where to start!

I came here for my 30th with my partner Chris-first time to Barbados!
The house and gardens are not only beautiful but are immaculate-the pictures do not do it justice!

The kitchen is better equip than my own! so many useful things you don't have to remember to pack- picnic set and ice bags already in the freezer, snorkels and flippers, beach towels! Just everything you could think of is already there!

The garden is fantastic to relax in and very private :) birds singing and coming to say hello in the morning!

There is a picture missing from the set- outside the bedrooms is a beautiful comfy seating area which faces the morning sunrise which is beautiful!

Bathrooms- both showers are amazing! they are power showers and huge!

The housekeeper is hilarious but lovely! a true Bajan! She is very proud of her work and keeps everything clean and tidy daily!

The house is in prime location for Holetown -right in the centre of it all but in a quiet spot!

20 out of 10 will deffo be coming back soon but for longer!!

The villa is a 5 minute walk North of Holetown, which has a shopping centre with supermarket and duty free shopping. The Limegrove shopping complex is literally around the corner. Limegrove houses many designer shops, restaurants and the cinema.There are many local restaurants and bars within walking distance. Most of the restaurants and bars are situated on 1st and 2nd Street which is only a five minute walk from the house.

It is not necessary to have a car. There is an excellent bus service that runs along the main road and a bus stop just around the corner. The West Coast beaches, which are only a short walk from the villa are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing.
