LARGE, PRIVATE GUEST SUITE

Just arrived back home from 4 fabulous days at this lovely suite, and I could not recommend it more!!! Even though my traveling companion and I arrived separately into Philly (and even got to the property a bit late), our host Vittoria could not have been nicer, with several wonderful suggestions for dinner, places to see, and just in answering our many questions. She's a terrific host, and very welcoming.

The rental suite itself is stellar...far more than what we were expecting, and a great deal more than what I've paid for much higher dollar hotel rooms in Sydney, London, and L.A. Even though it's attached to the main house, the suite was serene, exceptionally quiet, and beautifully done, divided over two floors. The attention to the detail of the finishes and the 'extras'...stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; the wonderful decor and renewing feel in the bath and bed rooms; plenty of charming, great storage furniture pieces throughout; k-cups coffee and maker at the ready...just demonstrated Vittoria took the time to think of what would make our stay as guests more enjoyable. This is not a place you rent and 'drop your stuff' at while on your adventures, but rather a place that truly feels like a home away from home...a place where you can peacefully restore, renew, and relax yourself. It's wonderful as a 'home base', but equally wonderful just as its own destination.

The location of Chestnut Hill is perfect for this rental, and Chestnut Hill itself is a wonderful little area full of shops, restaurants, antiques, and local businesses. (If you're a foodie, *this* is the place to start...bakeries, bread and cheese shops, brewery, chocolates, wines, and lots more...literally just 2-3 mins away by car or slightly more by nice walk.) We were thrilled just how close and easy to get from the rental was to the airport and Philadelphia proper (about 25-35 miles by car, depending on exact destination), and we made easy daily trips there or into the surrounding areas...I-76/I-476 are very accessible. (The SEPTA trains also come into Chestnut Hill.) If you crave tranquility yet comfort, personality yet convenience to Philly, *this is your ideal location*.

In summation: fantastic rental suite, fantastic host, fantastic location. Really hated to leave there yesterday, but we would go back there again in a heartbeat. In fact, we've already started discussing our return trip...
