Great Ski Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Why stay in a hotel when for just a bit more money you can be in a fully equipped 2 bedroom unit. Beds were very comfy, en-suite off the master bedroom allowed for privacy. We are a family of 4, all adults and came for a December ski-cation to Lake Louise (50 minute drive) and Sunshine (20 minute drive). The National Park pass in the condo was quite a bonus. We brought a slow cooker and our meals were ready when we got back each evening. Then a soak in the hot tub down the hall, and a movie by the fireplace on comfy leather furniture, it was a great experience. Also look into ski rentals in Canmore at "Gear Up", good quality equipment, knowledgeable staff, convenient (just down the street), and the best prices, lower than Banff, Lake Louise and the Ski Mountains. We have a van and the ski gear stayed in the van, the underground parkade was very convenient. We drove to the end of the parkade and walked up 2 flights of stairs to the condo. The laundry facilities made getting our gear cleaned and dried very convenient for the next day. Joanna and Nathanael were accommodating and made the process easy and comfortable, the information we received beforehand made check in and departure easy. We recommend this condo and will look to stay again.

Fabulous Condo!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and another couple stayed at the condo for 5 nights and could not have been more pleased with our experience! The entire process from booking to checkout was easy and stress free. The condo looks good on the computer but even better in person. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there were amenities for guests above and beyond what the individual condo had to offer, including free nightly movies at the sister property. The kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed waking up to mountain views right outside both of the bedroom windows. It was nice to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms as it allowed plenty of privacy for each of the couples, and the common areas were small but cozy and sufficient for our group of four. Overall, after multiple days of camping, it was great to be able to go on outdoor adventures during the day and come back to a warm shower, clean clothes and a comfortable bed!!!

Memorable Vacation Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our party of 5 adults stayed for 2 nights in this cozy condo. We used the inflatable mattress that was in the hall closet as the couch is not a convertible bed. The beds in the master bedroom and second bedroom are excellent. We were also impressed by how well stocked the condo was regarding bedding, towels, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans and even spices. Best of all there was a package of Starbucks coffee in the freezer! Thanks Nathaniel and Donna for exceeding our expectations.

Exactly what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed in this condo over Thanksgiving and it was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to get out of the city for a few days, relax but not feel like we were in a hotel. We cooked all our meals in the condo and found it was well stocked with all the cookware we needed. The condo was very clean and the beds and bedding comfortable and tons of good sized towels not like the usual small ones in hotels. It was a quick walk to town which was nice. It was actually closer to town then it seems on the map. The hot tub in the building was great! We spent a lot of time in there and had it all to ourselves during the day.

The only things we were disappointed with was the lack of condiments (we were expecting the basics like ketchup mustard mayo, salad dressings etc. but found there was only ketchup and maple syrup. Not a huge deal as there is a Safeway and Sobeys close by) there were lots of spices though! Also one night the hot tub in our building was packed so we went to the hot tub by the pool and it was hardly even warm. There are no dressers in the rooms which was a little inconvenient but the closets are big and stocked with hangers, but some things had to live out of our suitcases.

Over all it is an excellent condo and we had a great time. We will definitely be coming back!

Lodges at canmore

  • 4 of 5

We spent four nights at this two bedroom condo in Canmore. The unit is well equipped and ideal for two couples to visit the area. Check in was easy and good parking...hint go to the very end and park by the exit. You are just two floors directly below unit, otherwise its a long walk down a bleak corridor. Our only complaint, and this is common throughout Banff and Canmore is lack of air conditioning. Even with three open windows and rainy weather we just could not cool the unit down....but this is not negative on the owners...it would be perfect in the other three seasons...oh and bring your own hand soap and shampoo although dishwashing and laundry supplies provided

Great facility and wonderful owners.

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful condo. Well equipped with TVs in each bedroom and in the living room, very comfy beds (great pillows too!!) and couches, very accommodating kitchen and very good modern bathrooms and showers. We used the hot tub on the same floor and the pool, lower down. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. Clever use of small square footage. (for example, modern washer and dryer stacked up). As mentioned in previous reviews, 20 minutes from Banff ~50 minutes from Lake Louise so be prepared to do some driving. Having said this, we much preferred the real feel of Canmore vs that of the over hyped touristy Banff.

It got a little warm during our stay but we used the stand up fans provided by the owners which cooled things down, since the evenings bring lower temps. The owners were great re communication, actually the best I've ever dealt with. They responded quickly and gave me lots of tips and recommendations whenever I asked and often, more. Much appreciated.

One thing to be aware of is that that the condo faces the pool and during the nice summer weather you could hear a bit of pool noise, during the day. This was remedied by closing windows, doors or turning on fans till the pool closed. Also realize that this is a big condo complex with lots of people around, so if you're looking for "atmosphere" or a sense of solitude, this one isn't for you. We used it really as a travel base so it suited our purposes perfectly. Stores and restaurants are just a short car ride away or a moderate walk. We were very glad we found this place.
