2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6 In Wonderful, Convenient Location

Lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in quiet, residential Uptown neighborhood convenient to everything.

Newly renovated with hardwood floors, eleven foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central air and heat, wireless internet, 37' LCD HD flat screen TV, washer, dryer, gas stove, microwave, balcony overlooking charming New Orleans street. Parking available on street.

The apartment is on the second floor of a Victorian house. You enter into the living room which is open to the dining area and the kitchen. In the front of the house is one bedroom which opens onto the balcony. In the back is the second bedroom. There is complete privacy because unlike so many New Orleans houses you do not have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom or to the bathroom. Our bathroom is located off the living room. The apartment is comfortably furnished with a queen size bed in each of the spacious bedrooms and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a dining table which seats six. There are lots of windows and natural light.

The location is excellent: three blocks to St. Charles Avenue with the street car for a ride downtown to the French Quarter or uptown to Audubon Park, Tulane University and Loyola University. The apartment is three to six blocks to the Mardi Gras parades on Napoleon and St. Charles and ten short blocks to Magazine to see the Muses among other parades. Cafes and restaurants are as close as around the corner or only a few blocks away. Magazine Street with all its restaurants and boutiques is within several blocks as are a drug store and a grocery store. Freret Street, also a few blocks away, has a monthly festival as well as many new and exciting restaurants.

Among our favorites just around the corner is a Il Posto, a European café which is great for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Two blocks away are Charlie’s steakhouse and Pascal’s Manale, a seafood restaurant. Manhattan Jack, which just opened a couple of months ago, has the best bagels in New Orleans as well as all sorts of other wonderful baked good, sandwiches and weekend brunch. The list of great places to eat in New Orleans is endless. We live downstairs and are available to answer questions or to offer suggestions.

This is a wonderful place to stay for your visit to New Orleans and enjoy all the fun and charm of this unique city!

About Pat

My husband and I retired to New Orleans last year after 36 years in New Jersey. We have also lived in Manhattan, Los Angeles, and the Boston area. We are enjoying our new adventure in NOLA.

Why Pat chose New Orleans

We chose this property because we liked the neighborhood and it was close to our family here. We have since decided it is the best place to live in NOLA. It is so convenient to everything and we rarely use our car. We also love the character and charm of our house and of the neighborhood.

What makes this apartment unique

three blocks to the St Charles streetcar to easily get downtown or uptown; 3-6 blocks to the parade routes; walking distance to restaurants, stores, schools.

We came to visit New Orleans for the 1st time, with my family of four.

Everything was seamless in the booking process, owner Pat answered very fast, kept up to all commitments, and was very helpful to answer all kind of questions. At arrival, everything was ready to drop our luggage, and install ourselves 2 bedrooms available. The 'appartment' is upstairs, and has a charming little terrace, perfect for breakfast coffee.

The house is beautiful, set in a green and calm neighborhood accessible to French quarter by picturesque tramways. Nice restaurants are also available at walking distance. Inside comfort is good, and satisfied to all our expectations.

Thank you so much for making your home ours for these 3 days!

Little things mean a lot

We enjoyed staying here and would stay again. Great location; a little off the beaten path but quiet and convenient to the streetcar, etc. A few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Pretty neighborhood that felt safe. Nice little basket of goodies on the table, fresh fruit, coffee, etc we we enjoyed. Lots of local info too. Our only concern (minor) was the deadbolt that had to be opened with a key from both sides (we just left one key in the lock when we were inside). Not spotless, but pretty clean. Furniture is new/fairly new but in good shape. Beds were firm but I slept like a rock--that firmness felt good after lots of walking. Did not see our hosts much but they were very nice.

Great Apartment, Fantastic Location!

I rented this property for myself and four friends for a bachelor party weekend in New Orleans. While the apartment itself is older, it is very clean and comfortable. The two beds were quite comfortable and my friend had no complaints about the couch pull-out bed. Best of all, the property is in a great, safe location. It was literally a 1.5 block walk to St. Charles Street were you can catch the trolley to downtown and the French Quarter. In addition, Pat and her husband (the owners) were incredibly nice and helpful. They provided us with a welcome basket as well as printed out information regarding nearby restaurants.

If you're looking for a swanky place, this isn't it. However, if you are looking for a comfortable, relaxed stay in New Orleans with older charms, I highly recommend this property.

Fantastic Property!

My friends and I spent a long weekend at this property for Mardi Gras and absolutely loved it. Only a few blocks from the Napoleon/St. Charles intersection, it's within walking distance of so much, and the owners are right downstairs to offer suggestions of things to do and places to go if you have the need. The place is exactly as advertised, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a nice living area with a fold-out couch.

This is a lovely place to stay if you're heading to New Orleans, whether you're a family in town for some sightseeing or a group of friends in town to celebrate Mardi Gras.

New Orleans Charm

We were the first guests to rent this property. The neighborhood is nice and all of the furnishing in the apartment are brand new. The home is old but recently refinished and decorated nicely. The owners were very helpful and right there if you need them (they live in the space downstairs). They even left a very awesome gift basket for us with all things New Orleans! Lots of nice cafes and restaurants in the area. The street car is close, but be careful if there is a large event downtown - the street cars get full and taxis wont pick you up because they dont want to go uptown. We were there for Super Bowl - so that was my experience. Overall nice space for the location and price. Thx for the hospitality!!
