This elegantly furnished, fully air conditioned, very spacious 2 bedroom apartment, is in the new and exclusive development of Quinta das Palmeiras. It is within minutes walk of the beautiful historic old town of Lagos (it is a flat walk to all parts of the town - no hills); the stunning marina; the beach and all the amenities of Lagos. It contains a fully equipped separate kitchen; a large lounge/dining room with seating for 6, satellite TV/DVD, and an integrated sound system throughout the apartment. A spacious terrace leads off both the kitchen and lounge, furnished with table and 6 chairs for alfresco dining. The master bedroom has a double bed, en-suite bathroom and private balcony. The second bedroom has twin beds, and there is a further shower room. A cot is also available. Given the central location of the apartment, a car is not essential. The complex has lifts, an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi and gym, plus an outdoor pool with large sun terraces. The location and facilities have given us a number of guests returning again and again!

About Monina Hurl-Hodges

We have 3 daughters, and as a family love to travel. Lagos is such a beautiful town, with everything a family could need. My husband and I also like to go there by ourselves, and enjoy the restaurants and bars when we get the chance!

Why Monina Hurl-Hodges chose Lagos Centre

We wanted somewhere where a car was not necessary. Our apartment is perfectly situated, within a short walking distance of the marina, beach and old town, right beside cafes and supermarkets, yet on a quiet side street. Perfect!

What makes this apartment unique

The balconies get the sun from dawn to late afternoon, so while my teenagers may want to lie in, my husband and I can use the gym in the morning, or go for a stroll, picking up a latte from the Cafe Fresco in the complex, or the Pingo Doce store round the corner. Then bring breakfast back to enjoy in the sunshine on our lovely terrace. The ideal way to start a day lazing by the pool, at the beach, or going for a stunning cliff walk.

We are now back after a lovely week in Lagos! Your apartment is gorgeous - prestine, very spacious and well equipped - the best one we have ever stayed in. And so well located next to the marina and old town. We tried out all the local restaurants - our favourite was No Patio. Thanks for providing the sunbeds. We used them once by the pool (very comfy). On the other days we drove to local beaches. Your Lagos guide was very helpful. We referred to it many times - especially for the beaches! Thanks again for such a fabulous apartment!

Fabulous apartment

I stayed in this apartment for a long weekend with friends. My first impression was wow!!! a modern well equipped apartment with beautiful furnishings and extremely clean with free WIFI !!! Out side is a children's play area and pool which is lovely and clean with plenty of sun loungers.

It is about a 10 minute walk to the town which is absolutely beautiful, and has fabulous restaurants and bars. would highly recommend the Garden as the ribs are to die for.

The beach and harbour is a pleasant stroll and again is a bout 10 to 15 minutes walk. The sand is lovely and soft and the beach is very clean. You can rent a sun bed and parasol for around 5 euros each.

We had a fantastic stay in Lagos and can't wait to return to the apartment.

Perfect location for all that Lagos has to offer.

I have just returned from the most fabulous trip to Lagos. The apartment was ideally located for you to walk to all of the main parts of Lagos and enjoy all the town has to offer. Transfers from the airport were very reasonable meaning you would not necessarily need to hire a car if you did not want to explore other places in Portugal. The apartment had everything we could want and had lovely modern decor. The main double bedroom had an ensuite which was great and then there is another bathroom also. The cleanliness was perfect and the kitchen was equipped with all you need and more for your self catering needs although I must say we did only eat in for a snack because the restaurants Lagos has to offer were fantastic. I want to return just to try some other choices we could not fit in. The wether was beautiful for this time of year and we all returned with a lovely colour. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to visit Lagos and we hope to book soon for next year.

lovely apartment in the center of logos

The apartment was very clean, modern and centrally located being only 5 minutes walk from the main shopping and eating area. This was our first visit to Lagos and I will definitely be returning and have already inquired about booking the apartment for next year. I especially loved the gym and the large pool area and we even had the luxury of an heated indoor pool. So glad I found this little gem :-)

Amazing

Beautiful apt with everything you could want for a memorable holiday. Perfect for families and groups of friends. Well located just outside of town but within really easy walking distance of the town, marina and beach. Lovely well kept pool with lots of sunbeds and a kiddies play area. Lagos has bars and restaurants for every budget. Would recommend The Garden for very relaxed outside eating and just opposite, No Patio is well worth a visit. Cocktails everywhere and live music if you want it. It's a beautiful old town that really caters for everyone. Thanks Monina, can't wait to go again xx

Girls in Lagos

We had a one weeks stay in this lovely apartment. It is in a good location just outside of town so nice and quiet but in easy reach of all the necessary facilities.

We are a group of girls and felt very safe in this area and also in the accommodation. The apartment is spotlessly clean. Monina the owner was fab with her communication before our stay, as was the service received from Carla who met us with the keys. I would recommend this apartment and encourage use of the information provided from previous guests with tips on where to eat. We were not disappointed with any of the restaurants we tried. A lovely break in lovely Lagos.

Lovely apartment in a great location

This was the first time I've rented a privately owned apartment, having normally booked the "full holiday package" through a travel agent. The process was very easy, consisting of an initial phone call to the owner and followed by email correspondence. The owner was very helpful and reliable.

The apartment was very clean, modern and spacious and provided great accommodation for our 11 night stay.

There is a supermarket about 2 minutes from the accommodation block and a bus station located a similar short distance away, from which we took trips to Sagres, Praia da Luz and Portimao. The services were very regular and good value.

The Marina and Old Town are about a 10 minutes walk away and both offer many good restaurants and bars. We took a trip to the sea caves from one of the operators located near the marina (a local fisherman as opposed to one of the larger companies) and really enjoyed the experience.

The owner's local manager was very pleasant and changed the bedding and towels midway through our stay.

I would recommend the property to friends and colleagues. Lagos is a lovely town and the apartment is of a high standard, located close to many amenities and attractions.

Lagos is the hidden gem of the Algarve and perfect for golfers! Protected by its 16th century walls, this picturesque town retains its old-world Portuguese charm. A fine selection of restaurants offering international cuisine, pavement cafes and stylish boutiques line the maze of cobbled streets. There is a superb fresh fish market, with fruit and vegetables for sale on the upper level.

Less than 15 minutes walk from the apartment is the fabulous Meia Praia beach - 5km of golden sand with every facility you could ask for, and the quieter town beach at Praia da Batata. A further 7 beaches are within easy reach, many of which are served by the local road train.

There are many golf courses within easy reach, including the beautiful Boa Vista in Lagos itself. Boat trips are available to view the grottos and sea caves, or to go Dolphin watching out at sea.

Notes:
The apartment is furnished to a very high standard, with granite work surfaces in the kitchen, and a hydrotherapy spa bath in the en-suite. There is a large terrace off the kitchen and living room, with a table and 6 chairs for alfresco dining. The master bedroom has a balcony off. The indoor communal pool is heated, alongside a jacuzzi and gym. The outdoor pool has many sun terraces to catch those rays. Either stairs or the lift will take you up to this 3rd floor apartment. On a corner of the ground floor of the apartments, is the Fresco cafe, serving Portuguese and English food, which can be taken out if you wish to eat by the pool. It is within minutes walk of the marina with its shops and restaurants. It is also right by the old town, with its cobbled streets and outdoor cafes and restaurants. The castle walls and fort are about 10 minutes away. The beautiful beach is a 15 minute walk, with its 5 km of golden sand.
