Estate, 5 Bedrooms, 5 Baths Directly on Ocean with Pool (Sleeps 12)

Beautiful gated 3-story estate on the Atlantic Ocean with deep water protected dockage on same street for boat and wave-runner. Our home is lined with tropical palms, a koi pond and an aviary with a blue and gold macaw, “bucko”. Our pool sits directly on the atlantic ocean with a beach entry perfect for tanning. Spacious 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms with 1 king, 2 queens, a set of bunk beds(2 fulls) and a day bed which turn into 2 twins. All bathrooms are full bathrooms. 3rd floor master bathroom has a jacuzzi overlooking the atlantic ocean. Ground floor has a private bedroom with bathroom that has big glass sliders right to the beach out back. Wrap around balconies on each level. The 2nd and 3rd floor are both open floor plan each equipped with a full kitchen. Open water views from every room! Magnificent sunrise every morning. We have someone who can plan any acivities for you so you can enjoy your time with no worries. We have a caretaker that will come and tend to the yard and anything you have questions with. She will also be able to heat the pool for you if desired.

Our house is located in a very quiet neighborhood less than an hour from miami international airport, 1 1/2 hours from Ft. Lauderdale and just two hours from Key West, we are located inside John Pennecamp State Park. Swim with the dolphins at dolphins plus, which is within walking distance from our house.

If you like to fish, you can hire a captain out of the pilot house marina or buy fresh local fish at the fisheries all within walking distance. Or you can toss a line out right on your beach. Restaurants; Pilot House, Snook’s, DJ’s Diner, Bayside Grill all within a mile.

About Merritt Johnson

We, Gordon & Marie first bought our house here 23 years ago with our 8 month old daughter and started off by spending the winter enjoying the beautiful wetaher in Key Largo. Gordon would work 8 months in PA and then enjoy the winter months in his Keys home. This is our 3rd home in Key Largo and we couldn't imagine living any where else. Marie and her 2 duaghters live permentaly down here in the Keys while Gordon still comes down for the winter and visits every 3 weeks during the spring and summer. Marie and the girls love living down here enjoying the weather, water, wildlife, the friendly locals and how safe of a town it is.

My family and I rented this home for nearly 10 days while we were moving between primary houses up north. My 3 small kids LOVED the property, the pool, and viewing the animals. The view is breathtaking and the locals are very nice. Highly recommended and worth the price.

Amazing Vacation!

Had a wonderful time staying at the Ocean Front Beach Estate in Key Largo. It was my family of 4 and my sisters family of four. The property which the home is situated on is beautiful and private. The price was great as you cannot get an oceanfront nice hotel room for under $250 and thats for one room. The pool overlooking the ocean was great for the kids and the nice beach chairs for us to tan and sip on cocktails was great. The owners have two bikes and two kayaks for use and we enjoyed them. The owners and property manager was very assertive telling us what to do/see/eat while we were on vacation. The house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location and overall property

Recently stayed on property with family with small children. There is plenty of room within the house and the outside pool area and oceanfront location are great. The two kayaks were great for ocean and canal exploring. You can even kayak up to Dolphin Plus to see the dolphins in action. Also, the two bikes were used for quick store runs. The kids enjoyed seeing the birds flying in daily to visit. Easy walk to a few places to eat with good seafood and this is coming from someone from NC who enjoys quality seafood. Furnishings and kitchen supplies were sparse so foodies will need to bring some kitchen items or at least check with the owners to determine if items have been added. Owners were very responsive when needed. We had great weather and did not spend much time at all inside since the outside area was perfect for our group.
