Bar Harbor View Cottage is the perfect place for your next trip to Maine. You will be delighted when you first see the stunning panoramic views of Acadia National Park and its mountains from our deck. Make sure you get up in time for sunrise as you'll be able to see it come up over Cadillac Mountain.

You'll be able to spot wildlife without even leaving your chair. You may see eagles, seals, dolphins, deer and moose. You can even take our kayaks across the bay to see seals up close and personal. The water near the cottage is teeming with mussels too.

Kids (of all ages) love the abundance of flat rocks along the shoreline that are perfect for skipping and the custom-built ping-pong table in the garage.

The cottage features four bedrooms which sleep nine, WiFi access, panoramic views, a well-stocked kitchen, a garage, ample parking, a ping-pong table, several kayaks, a gas grill and a gorgeous deck perfect for relaxing.

The main floor has the master king suite with adjoining bathroom, a second bedroom with a queen bed, kitchen, living room, dining area, den, laundry room and second bathroom. There is also an attached garage. The second floor offers two bedrooms. One has two twin beds and the other features a queen bed plus a twin bed.

We are about 16 miles from downtown Bar Harbor.

About Rick

Rick and Shelby Kinnaird currently live in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but visit Bar Harbor View Cottage every chance they get. Rick is retired from the computer industry and is working on his first novel. Shelby has a food blog called Diabetic Foodie and also works as a freelance web designer.

Why Rick chose Trenton

When Rick's parents retired, they built Bar Harbor View Cottage. Rick's father used to say 'Start walking up the East Coast and, when you've found prettiest spot, that's where we live.'

What makes this house unique

The 180 degree views from our home are absolutely gorgeous and watching sunrise over Cadillac Mountain from the deck is breathtaking. One visitor said 'I always like to go to the beach on vacation, but this is a whole different level of relaxation.'

Car: necessary

Must get lobsters at least once from the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. Enjoy dozens of hiking trails through Acadia National Park (easy to extremely challenging). Don't miss the popovers and strawberry jam at Jordan Pond House (but be prepared to wait for a table).

My husband and I have enjoyed staying here at the Bar Harbor View Cottage on 2 occasions. It is all that is pictured in the photos and more! Loads of room with comfy furniture and a very homey atmosphere. From the roomy master bedroom you enjoy the sound of the changing tides and can smell the ocean air. Very relaxing! We love the serene view from both inside the house and out on the deck.The improvements to the deck last year was great, giving a wider view of the water than before. We were delighted with a beautiful sunrise breakfast on the deck on several mornings. We love to hike at Acadia while we stay here and it is a very convenient location as it is close enough to both Bar Harbor and Acadia and convenient to Ellsworth as well. We both enjoyed the ping pong table and the assortment of games and puzzles at the house. I love to cook and bake and we did partake in the perfect lobster dinner at the house one night. It is a beautiful spot for any type of r & r you might have in mind.
