Our home is located on Carolina Beach penisulas known as the North End. We are located one mile from the boardwalk and 1/2 mile from the Fishing Pier. We have five bedrooms (three with bathrooms), four and a half bathrooms. We are Unit #1 of a duplex. All living areas are located on the top floor and are bright, wide open and airy with picture windows and decks on both the front and back.
We can sleep up to fourteen people in three queen beds, one double bed, two twins (which can be combined as one king), one fold out couch, and a futon. The couch and the futon are in two of the bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms have private baths, two of which have jacuzzi bathtubs. And we have an elevator!!
Our house has six decks, three facing the canal with great canal views and three facing the ocean, two of which have fabulous ocean views.
TVs are in the living room and all five bedrooms. We have direct TV and wireless internet.
We live in Durham, NC and have been visiting the North Carolina Coastal Region for over 25 years. When we decided to purchase a second home it was natural to head to the beach. Carolina Beach has lots of amenities and a home town feel that we love, but is so close to Wilmington we can easily go into town for a change of scenery if desired.
Rhonda, our realtor, who is great, saved this house for last. So, after a long day of checking out properties we drove down Canal Drive. When we saw the views from nearly every room in our home we fell in love. It was ours in less than a month and we go to the beach and enjoy our home on a regular basis.
The elevator helps since my parents also visit often. We love sitting on one the many decks reading in the morning sun, watching the waves on the ocean or watching the sun setting on the canal. This place is special and we want to share it with you!!
