LUXURY APARTMENT

This was our first experience using HomeAway/Holiday-Rentals and we have been very pleased from start to finish. The owner responded promptly both to our first contact, and to subsequent emails. One of our party requires crutches, so the choice of where to stay in this hill town was important. The owner was most helpful and entirely honest in providing detail of the apartment and its approaches. The location on the square a few metres from the main street was ideal. We had anticipated that such a central location would be noisy; in fact all the surrounding area is pedestrian only, so youth on noisy motorbikes were excluded! The apartment was presented in very clean condition with beds prepared, and towels etc. as described. We arrived late Sunday evening, and were met by a representative for the owner, who could not have been more helpful. Both the owner and the representative provided us with very useful "local knowledge" to ensure that we made the most of our stay. The apartment is clearly a family holiday home and as such has accumulated a lot of interesting art objects and pictures. I would therefore hesitate to recommend to families with boisterous young, if the parents want to relax! On the other hand we four adults found the two en-suite bedrooms and living space perfectly comfortable, well equipped with everything working as intended. In summary this apartment worked perfectly for us as a base for exploring the Eastern side of Sicily during the day, with Taormina providing all the interest we required each evening.
