Welcome to KaMilo Unit 103, where you are invited to experience the warmth and aloha that truly embody the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands!

This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home located within the lushly landscaped Mauna Lani Resort, features all the best there is to offer. Granite countertops are featured in the kitchen and bathrooms, along with beautiful hardwood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances.

Each bedroom has been professionally decorated by a local interior designer to tastefully incorporate Hawaiian motifs and showcase island artists.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and wall-mounted flatscreen tv, with an en-suite bathroom that has twin vanities, a soaking tub, walk-in shower, walk-in closet, and water closet.

The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. These bedrooms each have wall-mounted flatscreens, and access to a full bath with laundry facilities adjacent. A half bath is conveniently located next to the kitchen for the use of all guests.

KaMilo at Mauna Lani boasts the largest rec center in the resort, complete with a lap pool for those who insist on exercising while on vacation, and a lagoon-style pool for those who prefer to limit their strenuous activities to lifting their mai tais from the table to their mouths. A workout gym with free weights, cardio and static machines allow guilt free wining and dining to occur at any one of the fabulous restaurants and bars the area is known for.

Speaking of dining, there are a dozen fine dining restaurants within a half hour drive of KaMilo, and you should try them all if you have the time!

Merriman's in Waimea offers a fine selection of locavore cuisine to delight the pickiest of palates, while the al fresca dining experience at The Blue Dragon entices those who enjoy live music and dancing under the stars. Roy's at Waikoloa leads the pack with a dazzling array of pan-pacific fusion that is sure to leave you satisfied, and Three Fat Pigs brings a touch of the Mainland gastropub sensation to this humble island resort. Manta at Mauna Kea has some of the best views of the sunset and ocean that you will see anywhere on the island, in an intimate atmosphere that boasts live piano music and a wine bar, along with manta ray sightings nearly every night!

About Kai Ohuchi

Arnie and Patty live in Anchorage, Alaska, and have been traveling to Hawaii for over 20 years. They were looking for a place to 'warm up', soak up the sun, golf, fish, and swim. Hawaii has very temperate weather, and they found the Big Island of Hawaii very attractive. KaMilo is their home away from home, with views of the golf course and the beach just minutes away.

What makes this condo unique

One of the truly great things about our unit in KaMilo is the fact that we share a wall with only one other home. We are not surrounded on all sides with other condo units like at many 4, 6 and 8 plex condos, so we get a real sense of privacy and luxury that is typically only afforded to much more exclusive residences. When you walk in the home and feel the soft and smooth coconut hardwood floors beneath your feet, you just feel the stress melt away, and you know your vacation has begun.

This rental is first class by far. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. We had every amenity imaginable and felt at home and comfortable. The house is fantastic, immaculate, organized, and in a fabulous location. Having access to the pool and beach club made things even better. We can't wait to come back.

Luxury Retreat !

Our stay was fantantic! Perfect place for 2 couples. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of the home so there was plenty of privacy. The second bedroom had its own private bath. The home was very well stocked and very clean upon arrival. The BBQ grill was clean & Burt was "Johnny on the spot" with we needed a propane refill. The lanai was private from the neighbors & a wonderful place for dinners or coffee in the morning. The views of the mountains from the lanai where spectacular! Great kitchen appliances with plenty of room for all. Kamilo is a gated community & the unit is location near the entrance. The unit had an electric golf cart which was handy for a quick trip to the grocery store or the Fairmont Orchard Hotel. Also within walking distance. We had a great stay! Thank you!!

Perfect Hawaiian Getaway

We recently returned from a week's stay and cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. This was the perfect home for our family of 4! We have been vacationing on the Big Island for many years and Mauna Lani is by far our favorite location. KaMilo is a wonderful community for anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway. This unit is conveniently located within the resort and offers every amenity you may need. The furnishings are lovely and the view from the lanai is equally as lovely. The green space out back is a bonus for kids as well. It is evident that the Homeowners take pride in this beautiful home and we are so fortunate to have been able to spend time here. We look forward to returning soon!

YES a true 5 star place

This was my first time to the big island and this place is definitely a secret that hasn't been let out. The development isn't very old so everything is immaculate. The house is VERY clean and done right, The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need for the grill or the stove and has all the latest amenities, The master bath is amazing. The large flat screen tv's in each room of the house are set up perfectly. The privacy is second to none and your in a gated community so you don't feel any crowds. The grounds are amazing around the house with immaculate landscaping, The pools and hot tubs and workout facility are amazingly clean, the private beach access to The Beach Club won't be appreciated until about day 4 when you start venturing out to other beaches then the reality sets in that you have been on uncrowded beaches that are well maintained and the snorkeling is phenomenal. The private beach club is that good.

There is shopping centers close by for anything you want to stock the kitchen. A 6 mile drive north and you have great restaurants and a place called Da Fish house if you want to buy fresh fish for the grill like we did. Pesto has great pizza for takeout or eat in.

The Fairmont Hotel is close by and there is a great trail there you can walk the coast line. There is also a park with petroglyphs near by. Too many activities to list really that are all within walking distance and if you get in the car you really don't need to go more than 5 miles in any direction your whole stay. Whales, Turtles , Dolphins, Manta Rays and you have it all here.

Our two teenage boys are 13 and 15 had a blast. They were on the go nonstop and said they liked it more than Kauai because of all the activities.

Close by essentials for me that I utilized were Starbucks, 2 grocery stores, Snorkel Bobs (worth renting the snorkel gear as it is better than most you buy) Pesto for Pizza, Tony Bahamas, many local coffee shops,

We also drove the entire Island and had great food all over the island. One thing I highly suggest is the interactive I Phone app called Hawaii The Big Island Revealed. This app will follow your location and tell you everything in the book and what your close to. It was 8 bucks but well worth it.

2 step beach is a must down south of Kona for amazing dolphins if you want to swim with them.

And lastly I will say we didn't see a roach gotta love that. Kai the property manager is A++ with top notch service. Great guy.

The Secret Is Out

Finding a jewel like this you are momentarily tempted to keep it your secret. It is outstanding in one of the best locations. This was just the kind of upscale beautifully appointed yet comfortable vacation unit we wanted. The layout has good flow and takes advantage of the golf course and mountain views from the lani. Besides being so beautifully furnished, the place is absolutely immaculate which made it a real pleasure to stay in. We really appreciated the close proximity to the grocery store, shopping and nice resaurants, taking the short 10-15 minute easy walk a couple times a day. The unit comes with privileges to access a great recreational area with two pools including a lap pool, two hot tubs and a large workout room with a nice variety of equipment in it, all literally a two minute walk out the door. We went to both nearby beaches which are each spectacular with nice walking trails and snorkeling we saw lots of fish. We already are looking forward to our return and (if you promise to keep it secret) recommend this to anyone looking for a quality stay at a quality home.

Beautiful Summer Getaway

We enjoyed this beautifully maintained property for a full month -- it is even better than the pictures imply! No direct ocean view, but very close! The Orchid is less than a 10min walk. We feel the price is super competitive considering all you get with your own private residence, and ALL the latest amenities including HD television, great washer/dryer and large, open kitchen. We had several relatives come and stay with us during this trip, with many kids -- there was something for everyone. Loved the private pool and workout facility! The shops at Mauna Lani are perfect for families. And the best beach in the world (at Mauna Kea) is only 10-15 min north, and accessible to anyone. Kai was super, and he made check in/out very easy!
