Surrounded rambling blackberry bushes, this charming, 3-4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house offers an open living area with 2000 sq ft and peaceful Maine living on 5 acres of land. Located in Bar Harbor, this house is just 5 minutes away from the ocean and park entrances, and 10 minutes from the downtown area.

The comfortable accommodations are great for a large or extended family. Upstairs there are three bedrooms including a master suite with a queen size bed and adjoining full bath. In addition to 2 other bedrooms (two twin beds, and a full sized bed), there is a second full bath. The fourth room, located on the first level, has a full-size sofa bed and can be used as a bedroom or additional TV room. A single sized futon is available for overflow guests. Dogs are welcome!

The open living area that brings the kitchen and living room together is perfect for gatherings. There is a dining room that seats 8-10 with an additional kitchen island that seats 4. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern stainless steel appliances, including electric stove, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and a gas grill on the patio. You will find all the kitchen amenities you need including a large lobster pot and pie plates to put the blackberries to use! The house has two TV’s with cable, second floor washer and dryer, high speed wireless internet. The large private yard has a swing set, badminton set and other fun yard games for the kids.

To paraphrase an old Maine saying—“You CAN get there from here!” The property is conveniently located off Crooked Road, 2.5 miles from the main entrance to Acadia National Park. Enjoy vacationing in the peace and quiet of Maine home, while being just minutes from busy Bar Harbor, where you can enjoy fine cuisine, art galleries, whale watching, sea kayak tours, lobster bakes, shopping, and much more.

We purchased this property as our first home and lived there for 10 years. We currently still live in Bar Harbor closer to family.

This house offers tremendous privacy. We love Bar Harbor but sometimes the bustle of downtown can take away form the tranquil experience and amazing night time skies. This house offers best of both--in town accessibility with a peaceful home tucked in the woods
