On the outskirts of the cosy little beach village of Campomarino are these two charming summer cottages built within the extensive and quiet grounds of the Palummieri family. The beautiful natural beach of the Ionian sea is only about 300 steps away, while, Campomarino’s centre, with its shops, cafes and restaurants – some of which are open in low season as well – can be reached on foot . The larger “Casa Alba” and the smaller “Casetta Annalisa” sit beside each other like two sisters, in the shade of the Palummieris’ garden. Both feature two bedrooms, a soggiorno – the typical combination of kitchen with eating/living space – and a bathroom. Outside there are sunny patios and sitting areas in the shade of the high trees. The garden is completely enclosed and safe for children. The cottages are also ideal for families or groups travelling together.

Casa Alba is a charming cottage in very quiet, green surroundings, yet only steps away from the beautiful beach. The house features two large double bedrooms (with space for extra beds), a soggiorno (combination kitchen and living/eating space), one bathroom, a practical outdoor shower as well as a roofed patio with a view of the beautiful surroundings. The well-appointed kitchen of Casa Alba also has a cosy open fireplace. For our guests we include the use of a washing machine, a wood oven, the barbecue and bicycles. Another feature is satellite television. All linen as well as the use of gas, electricity and water are included in the price. All bedrooms are air-conditioned for comfortable nights in the summer and cosy rest in the cooler seasons. Enjoy your holidays from the first moment on!

The charming beach resort of Campomarino can be found on the Ionian sea, in the Gulf of Taranto, about halfway between Taranto and Lecce. Fortunately the tourism industry has so far passed Campomarino by, which means that even in high season the region never seems too crowded. Those who do come here are looking for quiet relaxation. One of the latest additions to Campomarino’s offerings is a well equipped sports harbour right next to the fishing harbour. Here you can also find a dive centre, though which you can even book day tours by boat. Idyllic roads and dirt tracks in the hills behind the beach road, shaded by hundreds of years old olive trees, are ideal for jogging, cycling and horseback-riding. In Maruggio, a typical Apulian small town about 2 km inland, with its friendly and helpful people, you’ll find anything you need, in any season. Closer to home and within walking distance is Campomarino itself where you will find a number of restaurants, cafes and shops.
