LOVELY BUNGALOW IN AN AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL COLONIAL TOWN.

We looked in various parts of Mexico for a place to retire to, but fell in love with Patzcuaro and with the house on Dr. Coss the first time we saw them. The town is unique in being relatively unspoiled since the 16th Century, when it was the capitol of the state of Michoacan. When the capitol was moved to Morelia in the late 16th Century, Patzcuaro survived as if in a time warp. There is no place like it in Mexico. Aside form the historical interest, Patzcuaro enjoys almost perfect weather, with temperatures rarely reaching 80 degrees in the hottest part of the year; and in the coldest months of December and January, there will only occasionally be a light frost at night.

Our house is built in the traditional Mexican style, with a series of rooms surrounding a courtyard and a large garden in the rear. The house is beautiful and spacious, and the gardens offer greenery and colorful flowers all year round. It is a wonderful place to relax, but it is also just a five-minute walk from the main plaza of the town.
