Upon entering this renovated, spacious (1800+ sf) condo you will see it is not your typical beach rental. We’ve decorated and equipped this condo for our comfort, and yours. Every room is decorated in warm earth tones with tropical/elegant accents, and the Northern and Eastern views from this unit give the effect of floating on the ocean. There's upgraded 18'' tile throughout, w/ carpet in 3 of the 4 bedrooms, new 2'' wooden blinds in every bedroom and 22'' flat screen TV's/DVD players in the bedrooms, in addition to the 55'' flat panel TV w/ Blu-Ray disc player in LR . As a corner unit vs. an interior unit, all 4 bedrooms have a direct ocean view where you can watch the sunrise from bed! Or, grab a front row seat and eat breakfast, read or do free Wi-Fi computer work on the newly furnished balcony, which wraps from the LR to the Master, while enjoying the incredible view of wide-sand beach for miles!
You will be greeted by our property manager, Owner Direct Vacation Rentals (ODVR), who will provide concierge services and be your point of contact during your stay. All 5 beds will be freshly made upon your arrival, with fresh bath and hand towels in all 3 bathrooms. They will present you with a welcome packet of local maps, coupons, a discount dining card, keys, parking passes as well as a starter bag of paper/cleaning products…everything you need to get off to a great start!
The Living Room's phenomenal feature is its ‘walls of windows’, with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean facing both East and North. It has a 55'' wall-mounted flat panel TV with Blu-ray disk player (featuring Netflix), two brand new extra-deep, oversized loveseats and two plush swivel rockers. This spacious room is great for family relaxation or late night reading in a cozy nook, with black-out curtains for guests sleeping on the couch.
The Kitchen has full size, upgraded appliances and an expandable kitchen island for food prep. It’s fully stocked for cooking and serving large meals. We have all the plates, platters, pots, pans, cups, bowls, cookware, gadgets, glasses and stemware you'll need, as well as plasticware & sippy-cups for toddlers and insulated thermoses for coffee on the go. There’s a blender and margarita pitcher/glasses for your happy-hour enjoyment, coffee-maker and toaster oven. It has a large pantry and plenty of additional storage space in the cabinets. A full size washer and dryer are located in the hallway, and the “rubbish chute” is just outside the front door.
The Dining Room has a brand new 60x60 square table which seats 8…perfect for lively meal conversation and family games/puzzles. For a more intimate meal, the center leaf of the table can be removed. The mirrored wall allows you to watch tv or the ocean from anywhere you dine. The adjacent breakfast bar seats 3 comfortably.
The oceanfront Master Bedroom is decorated in warm peach tones with off white wood furniture. It has a king-sized bed and a 22'' flat screen TV w/ DVD player. Sliding doors lead to the oceanfront balcony which features an outdoor breakfast/card table. The Master bath is private, with garden tub/shower, double vanities and its own ocean view window. It also has a hairdryer and makeup mirror.
Guest room 2: 2 twins and a 22'' flat screen TV w/ a DVD/VHS player. Nicely furnished in white and soft green, with plenty of room for the kids to sleep & play. It has a tiled sitting/play area in the bay window overlooking the ocean and includes a video/book 'take one/leave one' lending library.
Guest room 3: 1 'long' queen bed overlooking the ocean plus a 15'' TV/DVD player. This room is decorated in tans/greens with white wicker furniture and shares the main bath.
Guest room 4: The ‘Mini-Master’ has 1 king bed and its own full bath, as well as a 22'' flat-screen TV/DVD player. This bedroom is in the rear of the condo with two windows…one with an ocean view and the other an Ocean Blvd view. This mini-master suite is decorated in taupe/ice blue and provides the most privacy to guests.
The Summit is ½ mile from one of North Myrtle Beach’s most popular destinations - Barefoot Landing (House of Blues, Alabama Theater, shopping, etc.), which backs up to the intracoastal waterway. Barefoot offers a variety of restaurants for any mood, unique shops and several attractions for those strolling through this destination complex. There are also grocery stores and ‘spirit’ stores within a one mile radius. It’s a nice midway point to many other attractions as well, from Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach to Calabash, NC (where you can watch the fishing boats come in with their catch-of-the-day...from pier to plate). Windy Hill Beach does not have thru-traffic from other beaches so traffic is minimal and the strip immaculate. An expansive marsh that ebbs and flows with the tide is one block south…great for crabbing and fishing at low tide from either the surf, the rocks or the bridge. You can cook and eat your own ‘catch’ but if you don’t feel like cooking, there are restaurants within walking distance, including the renowned Hamburger Joe’s. A newly renovated children’s park (Virgil Yow Park) is also within walking distance on Windy Hill Rd./46th Ave.
Windy Hill is one of the widest beaches on the entire East Coast, so you can play Football/ Frisbee/Bocce Ball into the evening hours, even at high tide! The shallow 'tide pools' at low tide are perfect for toddlers, allowing adults leisure time without worry. For those seeking more adventure, Atlantic WaterSports (seasonal) is a short walk north along the beach where you can take banana boat rides, parasail or rent jet skis.
Seasonal lifeguards w/ beach chair and umbrella rentals are directly in front of The Summit, and the resort pool is heated. The private sundeck allows you to catch the rays until sunset, and there are charcoal grills and picnic tables for cookouts.
