Also great activities and programs for the entire family, including tots. Enjoy hike and bike trails and crabbing in Currituck Sound.
About Bob and Jane Soluri

We spent our first vacation in Corolla in 2000 and it was love at first sight. Before we returned home, we had signed a contract to build our dream vacation home. We loved the views and the big skies. Having grown up in Washington DC proper, we were thrilled to be able to walk to shops and restaurants. It feels remote and yet is so convenient. We eventually retired to the Outer Banks, building our permanent home in Kitty Hawk.

Why Bob and Jane Soluri chose Corolla

Our housekeeper tells us that she loves to clean our cottage. Not only is it a happy place to work, but she says that the guests always leave it in good condition, making her job easier. We believe that when we treat our guests right, they return the favor and take good care of our home. Every item in the cottage was chosen with care, including some antique pieces like the fireplace mantle that we found in a Frederick MD antique shop and adapted to fit our contemporary setting. We especially enjoyed collecting the art work that you'll find throughout the house. The wall of windows in the great room brings the outdoors in and makes you feel a part of the natural setting.

What makes this cottage unique

From the front porch glider to the crystal clear pool in back, we strive to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Shaded parking is a big bonus on hot summer days. The ground level room, where the foosball table is, can be used as a 4th bedroom since it has a sleep sofa, closet and full bath. Just outside the sliding glass doors is the inground pool with adjacent and roomy private outdoor shower. Walk to the beach or drive to conveniently sited parking pads in Whalehead.

The broad beaches of Corolla are known for soft white sand and long, rolling surf. Currituck Lighthouse, The Whalehead Club and Currituck Wildlife Center are just 3 miles north. And be sure to tour the off road to see the wild horses descended from shipwrecked Spanish mustangs.
