About Owner/Property Manager
I came to Mississippi in 2005 just after Katrina to help with the recovery. Bought this home in 2006. It was gutted at the time so I completely rehabbed it and moved in in 2007. It has been a great place to call home for the last 6 years. I am married now and have moved to a larger place in Diamondhead but I will always remember some of my best years 'Livin' the dream on the Bayou'.
Owner/Property Manager purchased this cottage in 2006
Why Owner/Property Manager chose Bay St. Louis
When I decided to buy a waterfront property on the bayou I looked at around forty of them, some less damaged some bigger some more expensive, some less expensive. But most were on a canal, dug by man, with other homes across the canal. it would be like living in a subdivision only water instead of black top. This home is on a natural bayou at the convergence of waters that creates an unbeatable view with marsh lands across the water and wildlife all around. I have made the inside as beautiful as the outside with large windows, an open floorplan great room and a very comfortable screened porch.
What makes this cottage unique
The location of the home is perfect. You are less than an hour's drive from The New Orleans French Quarter and all that Louisiana has to offer but you are out of the hustle and bustle. In the other direction you are minutes from Gulfport/Biloxi's great casinos and attractions. But the real beauty of the location is the community of Bay St. Louis itself. It is a little gem of a town with a great historic downtown area, lots of fun shops, restaurants and bars. There are miles of white sandy beaches to enjoy and an intricate system of bayous, canals and rivers that are exciting to explore by boat or kayak.
