The home is an end unit row house built in 1900 (but updated for 2013) located in the Historic district of Capitol Hill. There are no high rise buildings or office buildings in this neighborhood. The rental is on the main floor of the home and has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a den for an extra sleeping area. The over 1000sqft of living space is perfect for a couple or a family of six.

We stayed here for 3 weeks, while my daughter did an internship with our state Senator. Alison was fabulous. We were exactly a mile from where she worked and the capitol. We loved the eastern market. The condo was great, clean, had everything. I usually purchase cleaning supplies, paper towels, toliet paper but it was not necessary, there was plenty. The condo was very clean and neat. The master bedroom had white linens, which I always like. My husband and daughter who stayed the entire 3 weeks, hated to leave, our time there was perfect. And transportation using uber from DCA airport was $11 - 16 which included tip.
This place was everything we could have wanted for our family's DC vacation. The location is perfect, Alison was fantastic to work with, and our two girls (7 and 9) LOVED their little basement room. Would definitely stay here again!
My husband enjoyed his stay at this cozy home. It is located in a beautiful neighbor and walking distance to everything. It was close to the Metro, restaurants and the Navy Yard. Alison and AJ were great property managers. They were very attentive to our needs and provided us with a great information about places to go and tips for a good travel. The house was cleaned and very comfortable. Love everything about it. I reside in the outskirt of Raleigh, NC so the busy noise of Washington DC was something I have to get used to. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend you sleep with some music on. Other than the noises from the siren, cars, and people talking, everything else was great. I really love the restaurants on 8th streets! Will definitely stay here again when we visit Washington DC again.
Had a great four day trip to DC. The location was perfect with easy access to all the sights. Loved the local Capital Hill neighborhood and the house was just as described. Alison couldn't have been more helpful with pre-trip details, and personal warm welcome. Would stay there again in a heat beat!
This unit was squeaky clean, well stocked and in a great location. Highly recommend walking over to 8th street for dinner as many times as you can squeeze it in. The owners give great advice and live close by(our burned out light bulb was immediately replaced). It was great to stay in a neighborhood and we never minded the 8 minute walk to the Eastern Market metro stop.
We stayed in this lovely apartment with our family of four (kids ages 11 and 13). Overall a terrific spot, very central location - easy walk to Capitol Hill and much more. The street parking was amazingly easy, we never had trouble finding a spot. Quite street.
The unit is very well furnished, the air conditioning worked well (it was July in DC, HOT!) there were lots of towels, and the washer dryer in the unit was a big bonus.
