Main floor of the home, over 1000sqt of living space

The home is an end unit row house built in 1900 (but updated for 2013) located in the Historic district of Capitol Hill. There are no high rise buildings or office buildings in this neighborhood. The rental is on the main floor of the home and has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a den for an extra sleeping area. The over 1000sqft of living space is perfect for a couple or a family of six.

Short walk or Metro to so much:

Metro Stations – Eastern Market (6min walk) or Capital South (8min walk) both Blue/Orange Metro Lines

Corner market with a well stocked supply of grocery items (2 blocks)

Ronald Regan Airport (DCA) - 8 min drive or a 15 min metro ride with no transfers on the Blue Metro Line.

One of DC’s best streets for restaurants - 5min walk to the middle of Barracks Row (8th street) (Over 25 restaurants from five star gourmet to a quick dinner on the go)

Capitol Building – Nine blocks from the home

Nationals Baseball Stadium and the brand new Navy Yard waterfront – 15 min walk

Capitol Hill Bike Share – 1 block from home (We supply the helmets, you grab a bike and take it back to any Bike Share location in the City)

This was our 5th VBRO stay and it was by far the best experience every. The property is ideally located, superbly stocked, clean and comfortable. Alison was hospitable and gracious. We can recommend this property without reservation. Great!

We found this property by chance and could not have been happier with this property. Owner was extremely responsive to all inquiries and provided a very informative packet of info about the surrounding area. Beautiful home in a safe area within walking distance to the metro and shopping district! We will definitely stay again the next time we're in town.

All was as described or better. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, marvelous location. So convenient to DC sightseeing. Allison was so helpful! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.

Alison thank you so much for opening your home to my family and I. Property was super clean and well appointed with everything you would dream of needing. Would recommend this property to anyone traveling to DC, was excellent for our family of 4 and could accomodate more. Thanks for your recommendations, interesting neighborhood facts and help "jiggling the lock" (became a joke... "Dad are you ready to jiggle?") LOL!

We had a wonderful time exploring the city and really enjoyed debating the pros and cons of living in a city with our two kids (ages 10 and 12) who have been raised in suburbia USA. For the price of a hotel we were able to travel around and live like locals for a few days. Lovely, safe neighborhood with lots of activity, walking distance to parks, tons of restaurants, Capitol and Eastern Market. Would come back again next time we come to DC (because of course we did not see everything, or even a fraction). Thanks again.
