This luxurious, lakefront mountain retreat, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, on the serene outskirts of Asheville, offers a relaxing and invigorating escape for all ages. The Craftsman home welcomes you into its arms, then ushers you outside to the surrounding lake & natural beauty that surrounds it. You immediately feel at home and relaxed, like you were meant to be here.

The home is over 3,300 square feet, spread over 2 floors, affording plenty of space to relax, to play, and to unwind with friends and family. There is an expansive Great Rm for gathering, a huge Kitchen, a Dining Rm, 2 fireplaces, and plenty of areas to sit an unwind with a good book. There is an expansive deck, a full screened porch and a lower patio for all sorts of gatherings, cookouts, late night card games, or whatever. The front porch has a swing and rocking chairs, just beckoning one to curl up & read, or grab a late afternoon nap.

There are 5 well apportioned bedrooms, additional sleeping areas for kids or grand kids; and plenty of full bathrooms for everyone. (3 full baths & 1 Powder Rm bath.) There are indoor and outdoor speakers for music, and wi-fi for your laptops.

With the 5 bedrooms, this spectacular home offers plenty of sleeping arrangements for families & groups looking to vacation in Asheville, in the shadow of the Smoky mountains. Amazing stay in Asheville!

My fiancé and I went with our entire wedding party and had the most amazing time. The house is absolutely stunning and everybody was so impressed. The master bedroom is fit for a king and the master bathroom is something out of a magazine. The pictures do not even do the house justice, it is absolutely beautiful inside and out. There is a fire pit by the lake and working fireplaces in the house which are all very nice amenities. The owner was extremely accommodating and helpful and even let us have a late check out which was much appreciated. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

A great getaway!

We have been visiting Asheville for many years now and always have enjoyed staying in different homes each time. That may be the end of our adventuring however, as the Lakeway Lodge is the most centrally located and wonderful home we've found to date! It rained for several of our days here and we found the home to be so cozy and nice that we didn't mind staying in at all. When we ventured out, we visited the new Biltmore Town Square where we grabbed a coffee at Barnes & Noble before we caught a movie at the new theater. Afterwards,we had a lovely dinner at 131 Main (key lime pie was outstanding) and then we were only 10 min back to home!
Nice, quiet, & relaxing. Perfect!

Best vacation ever!!!

Best vacation for a staycation ever!!! What a beautiful location to make family memories!!! We just wanted to be together as a family,turn off the cellphones,ipods and computers!!! Play board games,ping pong and fish on the gorgeous lake. What a fabulous backyard to throw the football,play cornhole and enjoy making smores around the fire pit. Letting the kids run around,watched a movie on a big projector screen while the adults enjoyed conversation around the fire.
The mornings were the best,waking up to the birds singing and then sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake was so peaceful. When the kids woke up,made a big breakfast in the Martha Stewart kitchen,everything you need and more!!! After a delicious meal, took a long bicycle ride around the neighborhood. So many things to do all in one location at the Lakeway Lodge!!!
We will definitely be back for another perfect vacation. Thank you,Lakeway Lodge!!!

Girls weekend

I came to this beautiful house with several of my girlfriends for a long weekend to go to the Biltmore Village Arts & Crafts Fair. We thought we would only come and go from the house, But found that we really enjoyed just staying in. Plenty of good restaurants close by and Target. It rained a bit while we were here but we all seemed to find a cozy place to ' get away' and relax and read and talk. Several of us worked on a puzzle that the owners provided. The lakefront view is wonderful, we were pleasantly surprised with the bird watching. It's a bird lovers paradise. They have a resident osprey, and 2 herons , and several pairs of ducks that we enjoyed watching throughout our visit. One of our friends has a walker and once she made it up the 4 outside stairs ( in garage there is a very sturdy handrail that was a tremendous help) this home was very easy for her to move around in comfortably. The owners were very helpful, they answered our numerous questions about things to do in the area, where to eat, etc. You can't go wrong booking this home. It will be a vacation you will not soon forget!
