Guestbook comments from the owner
We had a really great stay this past week. I especially wanted to say we appreciated the nice quality linens and having such extensive cookware - we are big cooks, and it was great to have all the kitchen accessories we needed at hand in the house. And our girls really enjoyed all the toys and kids movies in the loft.
The VRBO reviews rang true for us. We felt like welcome guests in your home rather than impersonal renters. We'd welcome returning again if you'd have us!
We purchased this as second home for our young family, and had it only for ourselves until 2013. We've had so many wonderful years there with our kids. As our kids are now teen and tween, and we're not there as often, we are now able to share our house with you.
The house was built in 1984, and we are the second homeowners. The property is centrally located: 5 minutes from Big Trees State Park; 10 minutes from Arnold; 20 minutes from Bear Valley Ski Resort; 20 minutes from Murphys; 30 minutes from Angels Camp. There is sledding in the backyard in the winter. Use the property as a great place to relax and hang out or to use as as a jumping-off point for the many outdoor activities, or to visit the quaint Gold Rush-era towns of Murphys and Angels Camp, and the wineries of Calaveras County.
The house underwent a limited but thoughtful remodel in 2007, with interior painting; new light fixtures throughout; new kitchen appliances; and beautiful interior stained glass window -- 4'x6' -- custom-made by a renowned artisan in Arnold.
